Description

PowaKaddy have designed the DLX-Lite FF to fold into the flattest sandwich shape possible. So it’s thin enough to be laid over or under your golf bag in the boot. And if you drive a car with very limited space, it can slip neatly into the footwell behind the driver’s seat. Company number: 1394141; Registered office: Media House, Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough PE2 6EA and H Bauer Publishing, As I have already mentioned, the FX7 GPS trolley felt light to carry - arguably more impressive however was how light it felt to push too. I suppose this can depend on how heavy your golf bag is but still, given the build quality and the amount of features this trolley has, it's light. On many of the flat holes I found myself pushing the trolley with ease around the fairways, sometimes forgetting to even use the motor. I actually found it more nimble than the C2i GPS, which was a big surprise. Depending on the course you’re playing, an optional self-sensing Electronic Braking System will help to slow the trolley down on steep inclines. For greater downhill control, the Powakaddy FX7 features a new Hall Effect Transducer (HET) which will help to prevent the trolley from rolling away, tipping over, becoming damaged or causing serious injury. What I really like is all the functions are simple, clear, and easy to use – from speed adjustment to GPS settings.

With all the premium features of the FX7 GPS, the Powakaddy FX7 GPS EBS™ Electric Golf Trolley also benefits from the innovative self-sensing Electronic Braking System (EBS™) that automatically slows the electric golf trolley on steep inclines and maintains the desired walking speed for complete control.Whilst we’ve been focusing all our attention on Powakaddy and Motocaddy as the market leaders in terms of electric golf trolleys, there are some other brands available that are certainly worth a mention. Simply plug in the charger, press the button on top of the trolley until it is green, and wait until it's charged. Slip the battery into the slot with ease and you're good to go. All you then have to do is make the most of the Plug 'n' Play battery system by hitting the button again at the course - the green light appears and you're off.

Still, once attached and screwed in place it will be up to the golfer whether they choose to dismantle this section of the trolley after each use or not. Personally, if you have the boot size, once screwing it on once, I'd leave it on so this isn't a reoccurring faff. Once you've screwed on the front wheel, you're away in seconds with the FX7 GPS trolley. Just make sure you don't loose that Allen key...! The fully integrated GPS comes with 40,000 pre-loaded courses from across the globe with no annual fees or subscriptions – all displayed on a 3.5” high visibility TFT full-colour Touch widescreen display. This provides intelligent performance on the golf course, including a scorecard, stroke index information (for both men and women), Active Green View to show the green’s shape, and Drop Flag technology to give accurate and precise distance measurement to any pin position. You would think that after selling more than One Million Electric Trolleys Powakaddy would be making the perfect golf trolley by now, well I must say it is good, but a long way from being perfect. One thing I did find a little annoying is the fact you have to 'double tap' when choosing an option on the screen. For example you press 'hazards' or 'shot measure' and you then have to press 'enter' for the screen to change. Throughout 18 holes I found this a little frustrating but I'm sure it's something you'd get used to. Extended Battery (Lithium): this can handle the occasional 36 holes, and this is as much as you should use it for before fully charging it again for your next round. Regularly using the battery for two rounds of golf on consecutive days means that the battery may not be fully re-charged in between and will damage the overall capacity of the battery or seriously shorten the battery’s life. If you regularly play two rounds of golf in one day, buy two batteries. Powakaddy's FX7 GPS Electric Golf Trolley draws on powerful, performance technologies that in the hands of golfers help them to shoot lower scores and focus on what matters most. The new FX7 GPS has bluetooth that surpasses even the highest expectations, allowing for course updates and alerts to be pinged straight to your devices. The Fazer 18 Hole Electric Trolley boasts a powerful Lucas 22ah (12V) battery and powerful 200w motor. With nine speed settings plus 3 auto stop distances, it certainly matches the feature set of the cheaper Powakaddy and Motocaddy range. There are a lot of new features on the Powakaddy FX7 electric trolley which this year are a welcome addition, but the 11kg or 25lb in weight still makes the unit quite difficult to lift and load into the car.

The Quiet Mark is the international approval award programme associated with the UK Noise Abatement Society charitable foundation. It recognises technology that has been designed to reduce noise within the design of everyday machines and appliances, and find solutions to noise problems. PowaKaddy electric trolleys are the first electric trolleys to receive the Quiet Mark accreditation. It also has handy additional features such as an electronic scorecard and USB charger. There is also an option for a self-sensing electronic braking system so automatically control speed on slopes. The 2021 PowaKaddy CT6 features a new 2.8” mid-size full-colour widescreen display and a USB charging port. The soft touch handle adjusts for the perfect fit, while an integrated carry handle makes it easy to transport. It is 20% smaller than the previous PowaKaddy Freeway models giving you more room to manoeuvre your gear in the car boot. Both are available with standard lithium batteries or, if you like to play more than 18 holes or get more than one round out of a charge, there are XL lithium battery options. In many ways you can see the journey Powakaddy has been on, they keep improving their product on each release, if like me you needed a new electric trolley because of wear and tear then it is a good option, the design of the electric trolley is decent, but the plastic build quality could be improved.

The FX7 GPS is all about giving the keenest of golfers everything they could ever wish for on a golf course, and more.

Over the years, it has been a proven performer and while it may not have quite the same folding capabilities of the new PowaKaddy Cube or DFX-Lite FF, it is completely set up to glide over all sorts of terrain with the minimum of effort. The warranty on both brands covers manufacturing defects that occur during normal use and accidental damage is not covered. However, Powakaddy and Motocaddy come with great reputations for quality and there should be no issues when using their products. PowaKaddy’s Second Generation Plug ‘n’ Play™ battery system also features a new, top mounted, easy access on/off switch, a really clever and simple battery release latch and is an impressive 40% smaller than the previous model, while maintaining 100% of its capacity.
