Description

Act 3, scene 3 That night, Messina’s master constable, Dogberry, and his assistant, Verges, set the night watch, telling the watchmen to pay particular attention to any activity around Leonato’s house. Borachio enters, telling his companion, Conrade, about the charade that made Claudio and Don Pedro think that Hero had just allowed him to enter her chamber. Borachio and Conrade are arrested by the watch. From Cornwall to the Cairngorms, James explores British landscapes to coax these much-maligned creatures out from the cover of darkness and into the light. Moths are revealed to be attractive, astonishing and approachable; capable of migratory feats and camouflage mastery, moths have much to tell us on the state of the nation's wild and not-so-wild habitats. Narrator: Appearance and reality. Sometimes we think we know people. But do we really? And sometimes we think we know what’s happening around us. But we misread the situation entirely. See? That was just a power cut during the filming of a banana commercial. And he’s a highly paid monkey.

If moths mean nothing to you, opening this book is like stumbling from a dark street into an unexpected party. Here is colour, wonder, surprise – and fun. A jolly, generous, kind-hearted host, James Lowen unveils a splendid serving of moth intoxication!" In Much Ado About Nothing , Shakes- hang on! That monkey doesn’t have a girlfriend, does he? Blimey! Act 3, scene 5 Dogberry and Verges try to tell Leonato about the arrest of Borachio and Conrade, but they are so unintelligible that Leonato impatiently dismisses them, telling them to examine the prisoners. He leaves for the wedding. Gloriously uplifting, hilariously eccentric; a big warm hug of a book written straight from the heart. Moths at their most inspiring, nature writing at its finest."Whether recounting nights spent searching for moths amid the heather or relating an autumn dedicated to the perfect blue of Clifden Nonpareil, this boy can write!" Listen can we not lose the penguin? Ok. So there’s unresolved conflict between Don Pedro and Don John. Don John is the cause of all the nasty conflict in the play. Inspired by a revelatory encounter with a Poplar Hawk-Moth – a huge, velvety-winged wonder wrapped in silver – James Lowen embarks on a year-long quest to celebrate the joy of Britain's rarest and most remarkable moths. By hiking up mountains, wading through marshes and roaming by night amid ancient woodlands, James follows the trails of both Victorian collectors and present-day conservationists. Seeking to understand why they and many ordinary folk love what the general public purports to hate, his investigations reveal a heady world of criminality and controversy, derring-do and determination. In this play Shakespeare shows us how unresolved conflict can affect us all. Now, first there is the unresolved conflict between…

Act 2, scene 2 Don John and his henchman Borachio agree on a plan to disrupt the coming marriage: Borachio will convince Claudio that Hero is unfaithful by staging a meeting with Margaret, Hero’s waiting gentlewoman. Margaret will be dressed in Hero’s clothes, and Claudio will think that Borachio is Hero’s lover. Narrator: Conflict. There’s conflict in every drama. That’s what makes it dramatic. Don’t believe me? Think of anything. What about a nature documentary about penguins? Well the conflict is between the penguin and the harsh environment. Ok. Point made. Act 5, scene 3 Claudio appears at Leonato’s family tomb, has a song sung for Hero, and hangs a scroll on the tomb.

Act 1, scene 2 Leonato is given a garbled account of the conversation between Don Pedro and Claudio, and is led to believe that Don Pedro wishes to marry Hero.
