I’d say light to medium gray grout would fade less. I think with dark gray grout you’d still have some fading issues. Our grout is actually doing remarkably better. I ended up having a grout company come out and professionally clean it. I’ve used the Mapei Grout Refresh product in three of our homes now and each time I’m blown away by the before and after grout paint transformation. It’s a little bit of magic in a bottle. The negative is that ready mixed grout is more expensive. You are paying for that product to be mixed for you. This is entirely up to you and the design aesthetic you are trying to achieve.
