This warranty extends only to personal use & does not extend to any product that has been used for commercial use, rental use, or use that is not intended. There are no warranties other than expressly set forth herein.Being an open headphone by definition, as you could expect the sound is not happening inside my head, but flows somewhere outside calling for my attention. I hear it well layered and placed accordingly in the scenery with some air around each and every note. With all that said, I strongly believe this part alone is the biggest downsize of the Zeus. Although excessive ringing behind the driver will go outside, increasing the sensation of a breathable sound, Zeus isn’t entirely a very open sounding headphone and reminds a lot more about semi-open headphones like Ollo’s S4X Reference. Soundstage is not particularly wide and isn’t thrown too far away from the listener, so expect a cozier sound, like you just switched places with someone in front of you in the auditorium. It is only by a hair wider sounding comparing to Audeze LCD-1, Sennheiser HD6XX family of headphones and Ollo S4X Reference also felt tinier and smaller when it comes to scale.
HarmonicDyne G200 Review — Headfonics HarmonicDyne G200 Review — Headfonics
The good news for the Zeus Elite is that there is fairly little roll-off in the low end. There is roll-off below 40 Hz, but above that, everything is audible. That’s quite good for the category. There is a very specific tiny dip exactly in the peak of the upper midrange, so while the whole range is emphasized, the peak itself is kind of inverted. This makes Zeus open and vivid, but non-fatiguing. Smart approach, but it means you will crank the volume as much as possible, since they are really easy on your ears.
On top of the headband is a leather pad with some foam material. Although it’s not the softest foam, it’s still soft enough to ensure that there won’t be hotspots on top of my head. He instead made the "newbie" mistake of comparing it to the previous generation, so, this is a prejudicial mistake that a real reviewer of Gear, should never be found committing.
HarmonicDyne Poseidon Review — Headfonics HarmonicDyne Poseidon Review — Headfonics
Both the Zeus and Poseidon are warmer and darker sounding than the Helios, however, the change in drivers seems to have added just a little more air and sparkle to the Poseidon. It’s a change for the better, IMO, and the smooth signature hasn’t been lost, just subtly improved upon. I was pleased to note that he listed the Focal Elex as the first place position "real" headphone", right under a Electrostat. When listening to the headphones, I immediately noticed very accurate and smooth low frequencies with a slight shift in emphasis to the midbass, and complementary smooth mids with a rather smooth but accentuated approach to the upper middle, which personally, to my ears, gives a slight brightness to the vocals and makes their production more forward, but I liked the high frequencies for their duration and good resolution! And DMS, well, He is sometimes difficult to read, because he'll not like a headphone's sound in the original review, then list it near the top of his Tier List..As noted, the Poseidon share much of the same materials and design as their two siblings. Again, the precisely crafted wooden cups are the standout feature, while the headband doesn’t seem quite the same level of construction quality. I personally like their headband and adjusting mechanism, it looks sleek, has a slim profile, it reminds me a little about Sennheiser HD800. The earcup holders are made out of stainless-steel, but those are filled with some kind of foam, just to keep the weight down as much as possible. Its earcups were carved from walnut wood, its durable, sturdy and has good acoustic properties. There are several headphone manufacturers using this type of wood and knowing that my Meze 99 Classics are more than 2 years old without marks in its wooden cups, I’m pretty sure this one should resist the same amount of use and abuse at my battle-station near several headphone setups. On a tight budget I would pair these with a small combo like Topping E30 and L30 and on higher budget, SMSL SU-9 powered by SH-9 should offer an audible improvement. If you want only the best out of them, look no further to Class-A amplifiers like those I’ve mentioned before that will take care of their obvious flaws and will further elevate their performance.
Review: HarmonicDyne Zeus Elite – One Step - Headphonesty
Props to HarmonicDyne. The new drivers in the Zeus fix the unnatural midrange of the Helios. The in-your-face v-shaped sound signature of the Helios has been replaced with something far more neutral and relaxed. A huge standout of this headphone for me was detail retrieval and transparency, it was almost unbelievable the amount micro-detail coming out of them. Zeus is a technical sounding headphone, it’s almost robotic at times, arranging everything in the scenery, positioning all the notes at their right places. Yet, there is a bit of naturalness and warmth too, not a whole lot of it, but enough to satisfy a Jazz and Blues addict like myself. I think it is important to note that the Story and Mission statements of Linsoul declare that they do not solely strive for products with the highest sound quality. Rather they refer to a combination of sound quality and visual style. It seems the aesthetic appeal of their products is as important as how they sound. Technical SpecificationsIt’s no secret that Linsoul has made itself a major fixture in the audio community, largely by being one of the most reputed vendors of Chi-fi products overseas. They’re kingmakers, and HarmonicDyne is one of the latest of this company’s darlings. Decay shows a very fast recovery of the driver, much faster than that of Erzetich Mania for example that costs a lot more. This reading is strongly reinforcing my impressions of a fast-moving driver. Despite a perfect marksmanship, I only had the Zeus for a few months, so I can’t guarantee how they’ll last for more, but I can say that Linsoul will always be there for you, and this headphone will always be comfortable. The overall tuning is just so good that by this point I will be adding the HarmonicDyne Zeus to Audiophile-Heaven’s Hall Of Fame, as a perfect headphone for their money. Damage due to user negligence, accidents, disassembly, waterlog, misuse, abuse, alterations or vandalism. HarmonicDyne’s headphones look and sound distinctive, with complex grill designs and warm tunings. Technical Specifications
