Pixel response time on the Dell S2421H is excellent for a 75hz budget monitor since it barely shows blurring and ghosting. Setting the overdrive to its Fast setting will reduce the persistence and smudges in contrasting transitions, so it will be less of a burden on your eyes. It’s not ideal for competitive gaming, but it should be great for casual titles like RPGs and consoles.

Third-party retailer data may not be based on actual sales. inch 1080p monitors aren’t that awe-inspiring anymore by today’s standards, but they are still quite popular in offices, schools, and homes. Most users won’t struggle with adjusting to the screen because it’s most likely that they’ve already experienced monitors like this personally. Its great for all-around use such as document processing and gaming, but you don’t get the extra space that comes with 1440p and 4K variants. The Dell manufacturer is known for producing several versions of the same display, as we can see in today’s review option. However, this often leaves customers perplexed as to which version is better for them. FredNW11 Glad to hear things have improved, but sorry to hear you're not quite there yet. When you say "third monitor", how is that one connected? I'm guessing you have two displays connected via the MST hub and the third connected via the HDMI output, but which connection is the problem display using at the moment? Does the problem disappear if you disconnect either of the OTHER two displays? Admittedly the answers to those questions shouldn't matter given that you're only trying to run triple 1080p, and the earliest DisplayPort revision that supported MST also supported enough bandwidth for 4K 60 Hz, which is equivalent to quad 1080p all run from that single output. So dual 1080p from an MST hub is very well within what should be achievable through that DisplayPort output.

The Dell S2721H has 27 inches but costs 94 dollars plus and has a low PPI. While the Dell S2421H has 24 inches costing 94 dollars lesser and having a high total PPI. I have attached one of the S2421H monitors into the HDMI port and the S2421HS into the DisplayPort with no problem. However, I am trying to attach the other S2421H into the USB Type-C port using an HDMI adapter (from Syntech) with no success - the monitor is not recognizing any signal. The Dell S2421H covers 100% of the sRGB gamut and around 71% of DCI-P3 which enables it to produce well-saturated images. The default accuracy sits at 2.03 which is excellent for a budget monitor, so most users won’t need to tweak it right away. It looks like Dell applied some factory tweaking to the monitor, although we have seen tighter scores on some of their pricier models. Calibrating the Dell S2421H improved its dE average to 1.13 which is again, impressive for a budget model. We’ve seen some sub 1.0 scores for prosumer models, but that isn’t comparable in this case since those monitors usually cost 3-4 times more. however, you do need a colorimeter to achieve this, and we that its impractical to get one for a display at this price range. Although 75hz is not recommended for competitive gaming scenarios, it is still a good total for those of you who casually play games or even only watch movies/series.

The stand included with the Dell S2421H is unchanged, so it only offers tilt so it’s not ideal for specialized setups. This won’t be an issue for single display setups, but tall users will have an issue no matter what since the monitor sits low. However, this 2021 iteration now comes with VESA mounting holes, so you can opt for aftermarket stands or arms if you want multiple screens or if flexibility is a necessity.

OK, I have bought the MST hub and have partial success in that all three monitors are now displaying something. The last remaining problem is that the third monitor has the wrong resolution - the display is all super-sized. On display setting I am unable to change the resolution.
