In terms of performance, let’s break it down into the two pods/coils that came with the kit: RPM 2 0.16ohm DTL Overall, both the RPM 0.4ohm and RPM 2 0.16ohm pod/coil set-ups worked perfectly. Great flavor, great vapor and amazing coil life. I’m really impressed with the SMOK Nord 4 so far – it’s pretty much all you could want in a pod system wrapped up in one device! SMOK Nord 4 | Battery Performance The first Nord was a nice small device, Nord 2 was slightly bigger and I found it just the perfect size. But Nord 4 in my opinion, is slightly too big and too heavy and cannot be called a small stealthy device anymore, although it is still a lot smaller than both the Smok Rigel and Smok Alien. Nord 2:The Nord 2 offers two different 2ml pod options that allow the user to switch between the SMOK RPM coils and the Nord coils available to suit all different vaping styles. The RPM2 coil is rated at 25-50W and I tried vaping it within this range for a while, but eventually I turned the wattage up to 55W and that’s where I liked it the most. Yeah, it’s a little outside of the recommended wattage range but it performs just fine here. Vapor is a little warmer and more to my liking than the lower wattages.

Overall, I think SMOK did a really nice job of improving both devices. They’ve managed to successfully incorporate a lot of the tech that originated from their full-sized mods over the years. The Novo 4 coils are up there with the Caliburn G, and the Nord RPM 2 coils are off the chain! Each coil resistance takes a certain liquid, you can’t have a 0.4 ohm coil, and dump 50/50 e-liquid in it and complain that it’s horrible or doesn’t work. I’m super impressed with the RPM 2 0.16ohm and I’ll definitely be buying a few replacement coil heads! RPM 0.4ohm DTL

Now let’s talk about leaking. The RPM coil didn’t leak at all on me. There was a little condensation under the pod but no large amounts of ejuice. The RPM 2 coil leaked pretty heavily though and I had to make sure to remove the pod and clean it out at least once a day, just to be sure that it didn’t leak down into the internals. Overall, I’m really impressed with the design of the Nord 4 pods – they’re only slightly different to the pod design with previous Nord releases and as the saying goes –‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. SMOK Nord 4 | Performance The Nord 4 is the first in the series to feature adjustable airflow via a rotating ring, this allows the user to adjust the airflow to suit your preferred vape style. This is a significant step forward.I timed the Nord 4 at around an hour for a full charge. A little lengthy but considering the size of the battery I can’t complain. Not bad, not bad. I’d been rotating the Caliburn, KOKO and SMOK Nfix for the past year, which are all MTL style pod systems. Eager to try the heavy DTL vaping set-up on the SMOK Nord 4, I opted for the RPM 2 0.16ohm pod/coil first. Take your pod of choice, remove the fill plug, and fill it up with your preferred ejuice. Note that because both of these coils are relatively low resistance, they’re best suited for use with regular nicotine ejuices. You can use the 0.4ohm RPM coil with nicotine salts, but it will have to be fairly low strength (<25mg). Once you’re done, wait a few minutes for the coil to properly saturate before inserting it into your device. This is just so that you don’t accidentally hit the fire button and burn your coil before it’s fully saturated.
