I'm listening to the whole series with my disabled daughter and it seems to be entertaining her pretty well. I won’t say anymore for fear of spoilers (everything I’ve said so far is on the back cover of the book, so I’m pretty certain that doesn’t count as a spoiler) but, suffice it to say, there are thrills and spills aplenty in this book.

Our spare child gets to atone for earlier foolishness and to demonstrate some stiff-upper-lipped character growth by escaping to alert the police. Brief Summary by Poppy Hutchinson: On their peaceful camping and cycling tour of the English countryside, the Five come across Richard Kent – the son of one of the richest men in the country! This book has all the elements required for a thrilling Enid Blyton story including the Uppity and Undisciplined Outsider who needs gentle guidance onto the right path .Bibi Fanny dan Paman Quentin nggak bisa membiarkan anak-anak di pondok karena mereka mau pergi, dan nggak ada yang jaga anak-anak. The events at the commencement for the five kids to commence a trip look a little too absurd; but, I think the narrative wouldn't have grown as it did.

There are confrontations which always make good reading and ultimately a secret room is discovered which contains yet another secret.but they don't know quite what to make of the children, and they keep them prisoner but allow them to roam the property to a certain extent. they come close to beating up on each other and the situation is saved only by the revelation that George is a girl. When the police arrive at Owl's Dene, Julian shows them the secret room containing an escaped convict and stolen diamonds. But just when they thought their troubles were over, the gang find themselves held captive and in terrible danger! Her books have sold over 500 million copies and have been translated into more languages more often than any other children's author.

I immediately assumed that this farmer would play a role in the story as a villain, because that's how EB's stories work, but surprisingly we never hear of him again. And as George Bernard Shaw said: "Make it a rule never to give a child a book you would not read yourself. Notable series include: The Famous Five, The Secret Seven, The Five Find-Outers, Noddy, The Wishing Chair, Mallory Towers, and St.Born in South London, Blyton was the eldest of three children, and showed an early interest in music and reading. The children cycle from one small countryside village to another, enjoying the natural scenery and the freedom, having great meals and drinking ginger-beer.
