The other monitor that you can hear them I might not use as much, but I feel so much better knowing I have the sensor pad for when he is there that will alert us on the chance that he stops breathing. Good baby breathing monitor but it could be better, cables could be longer and it would benefit from a two way walkie talkie so you can talk to your baby. If the alarm does sound, pat your hand lightly on a corner of mattress twice for Sensor to detect movement. You can also simply enjoy an extra Nursery Unit if you wish to monitor another child’s room or even the playroom.

It’s true that the hand unit looks a bit cumbersome – but a bigger monitor means a bigger picture area, which our tester loved. When using the AC327 baby movement monitor, I found the wireless Sensor Pad is useful, as is the fact you can recharge both the parent unit and nursery unit. Our Movement monitor with wireless Sensor Pad is designed to be placed under the baby’s mattress where it senses subtle movements (like breathing) while the baby sleeps. Pat your hand lightly and continuously on a corner of the mattress twice for Sensor to detect movement ( without touching the cot). i sometimes forget to switch it off when i get my baby out of the crib and it goes off everytime without fail!

The Angelcare AC327 Baby Movement Monitor was released in 2019 and comes with a wireless SensAsure Movement Sensor Pad that can be placed under your baby’s mattress to detect their every movement. I bought one as i lost my first baby after she was born and anything to help me and my kids was a benifit was worth it. It also has a motion sensor mat that monitors the movement from breathing and triggers the alarm should this stop.

Carla, 37, is a first-time mum who lives in Hertfordshire with her boyfriend, their whippet and their 9-month-old daughter, Vivienne. It’s quite a straightforward monitor, with a touchscreen LCD screen which I found reasonably responsive, although it could be a little sticky at times, and I found I had to press quite hard.our baby also stopped breathing we wouldnt be without it, and she is now 21 wks, we havent had any false alarms but have been told it depends on how active the baby is, but a false alarm is better than no alarm! It’s also valuable to have an inbuilt thermometer that alerts you to temperature changes according to your specifications. This Angelcare baby monitor has always divided opinion here in the PlayPennies office, and I think it always will: I think it's great and I bought one when my youngest son was born - it gave me extra peace of mind, helped me to sleep better and, even though it went of a couple of times, when it shouldn't have, I wouldn't have been without it. I will say there is a bit of a knack to using the touch screen, it’s not as responsive, as say your mobile phone, but this doesn’t really bother me as the camera and thermometer settings are the main features we would use, which are clearly visible from the front screen.

They had faired very well in chatter across the parenting forums, and so I looked into their range further. It was very simple to use – you place it under the baby’s mattress and it will only sound if no movement is detected after 20 seconds. What's even better, the low-profile camera can be either wall mounted or used on a table top with stand included. It has gone off a few times, mainly when he's rolled off the sensor, but it is worth it as one time there could have been a problem and without it we wouldn't have known. It has gone off a few times with my DD and a few of them she had forgot to breath, but she has some chest issues.

i think if no movement is detected after 15secs then there is a loud beep and if there is still nothing by 20secs then the alarm goes off and its really loud and would definately wake you up. The design is sleek and modern in white and looks fairly intuitive to use – although I’m disappointed there's no touchscreen or smartphone app. I had one with my first and it went off twice, first time was because he was too small for it to register his breathing under his mattress so I placed it under a folded up blanket, and the second time was when he was much older and had rolled to the very bottom of the cot.We cut some cardboard to the same shape and size as mattress and cut a whole for the sensor pad to slot in too. It’s easy to position if you have the right surface heights or plan to attach the nursery unit camera to a wall. MFM Parent Tester Lucy also found the sound to be “fantastic”, while fellow parent tester Luke added that the AC327 monitor has “excellent wireless range with no degradation of video or sound quality, enabling me to get on with chores anywhere in the house or garden whilst my baby is napping”. If you’re like me, who chills out in front of the TV post baby bedtime, the sound can get a little lost. The AC510 Angelcare baby monitor has a 5 inch LCD touch screen which was perfect for our requirements.
