The line was released in different countries and the animal characters can speak different languages. The Koala and Panda were released in 2020, followed by the Sea Turtle, Beaver and Penguin in 2021, the Owl, Whale and Polar Bear in 2022, and Peacock, a new Llama and Narwhal in 2023. The line is named for their unique feature: when one has multiple Linkimals they "link" together to create a synchronized music and light show. They are able to sync up and interact with each other, even singing two songs as a group (these two songs - "Hello Friends" and "Colorful Friends" - are heard in every Linkimals toy separately or they can sing said songs together). According to the instructions Linkimals will only sync up with Linkimals that speak the same language as each other.
