In incandescent clarity, multiple voices and full dynamics they present the artist's unhindered, unmasked voice. It’s an inevitable aspect of the human experience – the convergence of inner and outer worlds – and the cover’s depiction of the intricate and omnipresent nature of emotions and the darkness within is astounding. One such influence was the Renaissance painter Pieter Breughal, whom she once said would be the artist she would most like to embody.

Though at the time she was younger than 21, Bush confidently became the careful, experimental studio-only artist she remained for the remainder of her career. not quite sure what people's dislike is with this pressing, mine sounds phenomenal and I got it used while in France. As Bush gained a cult following over the coming years, however, Never for Ever was belatedly released in 1984 following the entry into the charts of her fourth album, The Dreaming. Both "Breathing" and "Army Dreamers" went to number 16, while "Babooshka" was her first Top Five single since "Wuthering Heights. Bush's dramatics and theatrical approach to singing begin to solidify on Never for Ever, and her style brandishes avid seriousness without sounding flighty or absurd. The rest of the album isn't quite as firm as her singles, but they all sport a more appeasing and accustomed sound than some of her past works, and she does manage to keep her identity and characteristics intact.

This remaster is surprisingly warm sounding for a cd, and gives a little extra punch/oomph where needed, without spoiling the original sound balance.

Incluye los éxitos "Breathing", "Army Dreamers" y "Babooshka", esté último siendo uno de sus más grandes éxitos. One thing that did surprise me is that the 'worst move' mispronunciation from Babooshka wasn't addressed - it should have been fairly easy to soften out that 'T', but hey, that's a minor pedantic niggle 😊The packaging is lovely, it's now a gatefold digipak, and having the whole album artwork in your hands is much nicer than the much smaller image and black spine of the jewel case, and this adds to the vinyl-like experience. Beginning production after her 1979 tour, Never for Ever was Bush's second foray into production (her first was for the On Stage EP the previous year), aided by the engineer of Lionheart (1978), Jon Kelly. She bettered this formula for 1985's Hounds of Love, making that album's "Running Up That Hill" her only Top 40 single in the U.

Delius (Song of Summer)" was inspired by the 1968 Ken Russell television film Song of Summer, which portrays the last six years of the life of English composer Frederick Delius, when Eric Fenby acted as his amanuensis. Of the concept, Bush said that it reflects the title, depicting good and bad things that emerge from one's self.In essence, this artistic facet offers a distinctive avenue for self-expression that transcends the boundaries of the album’s sonic landscapes. I love this remaster so much that it makes me sad that I’ve never listen to a vintage copy of this album. The range of styles on Never for Ever is much more diverse, veering from the straightforward rocker "Violin" to the wistful waltz of hit single " Army Dreamers". A section of the original cover art was enlarged, creating two different booklet covers: the outer one modified; and underneath the original. Ever since the mastery of her debut and with entries like ‘Wuthering Heights’, Bush has been a game-changer, but Never For Ever succeeded in its mission to signify her as an indisputable marvel of music and fuser of alternate worlds.

It also contains some interesting Album material; such as 'Violin' in particular and 'Infant Kiss'; the former beginning quietly, and ending up in a kind of 'frenzy' but a great Piece of work and art. However, the album that encapsulates her entire essence and arguably stands as one of the finest in the realm of music due to its profound relevance and unparalleled creativity is undoubtedly Never For Ever.

At the same time, however, Bush instated beauty in her explorations, with deeply resonating emotions at the crux of all of her dark endeavours. Da sind tief berührende Songs wie "Breathing" oder "Army Dreamers", und da ist noch so viel mehr in ihrem ersten selbst produzierten Album, das für mich einen großartigen Höhepunkt repräsentiert.
