The original Yuri was killed YEARS ago when the ''accident'' happened to him and Anton went through surgery to change his looks a bit to match, colored his hair, voice changing etc. Sasha should have low-key died so that Kirill could spend the rest of his boring, nasty ass life alone drowning in perpetual misery. the downfall of his character is one for the ages, a new chapter in the history books... goodbye goodbye you could have been bigger than the whole sky<3 I'm so glad the book ended well, and it was great! I wanted more scenes of Kirill taking care of Sasha during her pregnancy, but obviously, we don't always get what we want 😮‍💨 Anton and Maksim 👀. I REALLY wish I had some popcorn so I can sit with Sasha and watch them fight 🤣 I read the deception trilogy and knew about Kirill and his bodyguard Sasha since then, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read an entire trilogy or even a book about them. However, I love everything Rina Kent puts out there, so I started this one with a grain of salt and ended loving it from the start. The story started with a bang and I loved the first few meetings between these two. They are both strong characters, though both suffer from nightmares about their respective pasts.

I hate Cerina. Because Cerina acted more sad and angry that her abusive father is dead than the fact that her father had been abusing Yulia for YEARS. This book started with a bang and kept me interested through to the end. I loved the fact that we finally get to see Sasha’s point of view of what happened to her family on that tragic Christmas so long ago. We also get a lot more insight into the way Kirill thinks and why he is always building a house of cards while thinking of strategic matters. Did Kirill? I think he initially did but then the puzzle pieces came together, and he played the world with how he handled the betrayal, all to get the real ones out of the dark corners they linger. It's confirmed to him completely when they are forced to hide during a mission gone wrong. She explains she is a woman but is forced to live as a man for safety and who knew we needed a one bed trope for these two? And we got it! They both find each other attractive and obviously want one another. but in conclusion, all she did was disobey, show attitude, and be irrational at the worst possible moments. I wish he punched her that one time, maybe she would have LEARNED.

Kirill's possessiveness and physical attraction toward her come out of nowhere. He sees her half-naked form for the first time, calls her a "she" in his head for the first time too and that's all it takes to fall for her.
