Description

Snape and the police suspect that the Falcon had stashes of uncut diamonds in many cities around the world, including London, which was the base of his operations. Snape then arrests them, but Nick is let out the next day, although he tells Herbert not to reveal what Naples gave them.

This book is about how a guy named Johnny Naples who barges into the detectives office while looking like he's being followed. The Double Eagle Has Landed (2011): A short story in which the Diamond Brothers are hired to protect a valuable gold coin. If you go into the novel expecting something special you will be greatly disappointed, however if you're looking for something quick and entertaining to read on a Sunday afternoon I would highly recommend it. I have previously enjoyed books in this series and will always adore the hilarious relationship between the Diamond Brothers. After getting a taxi during the night, Herbert discovers the next day that the Falcon's funeral is being held at Brompton Cemetery, nearby. These books are aimed at a younger readership than Horowitz's young adult novels, such as the Alex Rider series and The Power of Five series.

When a dwarf comes into the office and leaves a package, Tim Diamond, the world's worst private-detective, is faced with his toughest case yet. Nick goes back to the hotel, where Naples was staying, to investigate, while Snape keeps Herbert for interrogation. I learned through this book that quick wit and careful thinking can get you through most things, such as a twisted case about riches from a criminal known best for imports and exports, with the key item being a box of Maltesers. The first chapter introduces Nicholas 'Nick' Simple and his older brother, Herbert Simple, who goes by the pseudonym 'Tim Diamond'. In The Diamond Brothers in… The French Confection (2002), the Diamond Brothers win a trip to Paris thanks to a French strawberry yoghurt, but accidentally get caught up in a drug smuggling ring and end up being forced to team up with the Sûreté to take them down.Next day, Johnny’s dead, Tim feels the heat, and his smart younger brother, Nick, gets the package—and every crook in town on his back! JUST TO FIND The MALTESER LIKE 9 PEOPLE DIED INCLUDING JHONEY NAPLES,BENNEY,KENNEY,FRED,LENNEY,AND The FAT MAN.

I hope, if you read it, you'll enjoy all the clues, the red herrings, the bizarre range of suspects and the occasionally violent twists. But as I grew older (and my original audience entered their twenties) I felt a need to move into adult writing. Following the main plot events, Nick and Tim finally managed to earn enough money to be able to fly out to Australia to visit at their parents for the first time since they had emigrated there, which was sometime prior to the events of The Falcon's Malteser. In March 2015, Horowitz then stated in a newspaper interview that there would be at least another six books written by him before continuing The Diamond Brothers series.

The Fat Man: The number one criminal in England, the Fat Man had often done deals with the Falcon, according to Snape, and he probably knew where Naples was staying before the police did. In fact I wrote my first book when I was ten, stuck in a miserable, north London boarding school where reading and telling stories were my only lifeline. With this knowledge, Naples quit his job in Bolivia soon after the Falcon's death, and caught a flight to England. Whilst highly amusing at times, to me, the emphasis upon comedy somewhat detracted from the greater plot. The title relates to the book because the book is about the a box of Maltesers and the title is the falcon's malteser, "I doubt if you can fit five million dollars worth inside.Nick manages to step onto the back of the van, but as the van hits 60m/h (96 km/h), he is thrown off and into a wall of cardboard boxes, perhaps he could have held on but he was half drunk. But then the host is found dead, and other people start dying in bizarre ways with no way off the island. The plot itself is a spoof of the Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None, whilst the title is a spoof of the film I Know What You Did Last Summer. This short story was adapted and enlarged from a radio play of the same name that Horowitz wrote several years prior.
