As a self-confessed bread lover, I’m always on the lookout for a reason to indulge in my carb addiction. Sea Salt Flakes – I highly recommend using sea salt flakes for delicious flavour and a little texture. In most cases, olive oil is infused with a combination of dried or fresh herbs (such as thyme, basil, rosemary, and oregano), spices and seasonings (like red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper) and acid (like lemon juice, red wine or balsamic vinegar.

My mom loves olive oil bread dip, so I’m going to make a big jar of the spice mix for her and gift it with a bottle of olive oil and some fresh bread from the local French bakery. I’m Joanna (Jo for short) and this is the place where I share my passion for easy and delicious recipes. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. In addition to being enjoyed with bread for dipping, this seasoned olive oil works well for other uses. Combining the robust flavors of high-quality olive oil, fragrant herbs, and a hint of garlic, this versatile concoction is more than just a dip – it's a celebration of taste.Transform an ordinary crusty baguette into an extraordinarily delicious appetizer with this Bread Dipping Oil! The tradition of dipping bread in olive oil can be traced back to ancient Mediterranean cultures and was common practice in countries like Italy and Greece. Warm the bread: If you have the time, serve your dipping oil with warm bread as they do in fancy Italian restaurants. You could soak your spices and dried alliums in a little bit of warm olive oil to soften them up before serving.

Therefore to maintain its ideal, fluid consistency and make it easier (and more pleasant) to dip, I recommend serving this bread oil dip at room temperature. Went without the Parmesan (not my choice) and I used the jarred minced garlic and cut the red pepper flakes in half for my youngest, and she thought it was great.Take it to the next level and serve it with homemade Focaccia and a Limoncello Spritz to make you feel like you’re all the way in Italy!

If you want to extend the shelf life further, leave out the fresh garlic and just add that when you’re ready to use it. Pour bread dipper oil into a bowl and enjoy with crusty bread, or drizzle over salads, pastas, or pizzas for a delightful touch of flavour. Here I've used a mix of fresh and dried herbs, olives and of course a good amount of extra-virgin olive oil. Our bread dippers are proving popular with foodies across the nation, frequenting the tables at barbecues, suppers, lunches and picnics, keeping Britain's taste buds entertained!
