Wheelchair spaces and their adjacent seats for accompanying guests are not available to book online. The performance takes place in the kitchen and bedroom of Bill and Maggie’s house, which is stalked by the ghosts of their younger selves. This created a sorrowful ambiance, as it proved hard to watch a couple who were once so passionate and full of adoration for each another now have nothing left to say to one another.

Both men wore brown button down shirts, whilst in one of the scenes Maggie is seen wearing a scarf of the same blue colour as the dress Margaret was wearing in the previous scene. The production stayed with me for a long time after I had seen it, as for me it illustrated the fragility of life and relationships, and the naturalistic, raw emotional response to separation through death. It had been mentioned earlier that taking too many of these blue pills would consequently end her life, and so having this repetition each time she took one built the tension leading up to her death. This larger space made the cross-cutting techniques more effective and gave the audience a feeling of looking in on the scenes.

However, their marriage survives his addictive tendencies, temptations of infidelity on both sides, and an inability to have children that affects them both profoundly but manifests in different ways. Past and present literally intertwine as the older and younger couples move around each other across the stage.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. One example of this is through voice; both characters of Margaret spoke with a fast paced, pronounced British accent. This image linked to the earlier conversation between Maggie and Bill, when she told him that she would want him to relive memories and revisit places they’d been together when she was gone. A crescendo of classical music faded into the scene as she tried to walk in her old shoes with difficulty. The absolute precision and fluidity of movement that was choreographed created the sense of the performance feeling like an actual love song.
