May 14, 2011: A photo of Abbey Bominable's debut doll is displayed on the Monster High Facebook account. Her eyeshadow has a slight gradient behind the lashes, going from light blue, to a darker purple, and then a pink that is only reflected — slightly — in the snowflake on her shirt. She also comes with a blue mini apron with the MH logo and jagged pink trim, tied by another black bow.

The heels are pointed wedges reflecting the rough texture of ice, and each boot has four straps going across at the top and bottom. Abbey wears a shoulderless sheath dress with black netting on the neckline, sleeves, and bottom, trimmed with blue. I am wishing to make the thoughts in my heart and the words from my mouth the same and for the friend who will be patient until that is happening. Older (90s) Barbie clothes designed for the extreme hourglass figure are actually a better fit, but the waist is very high. Her biggest problem is that she doesn't always tell the truth, and she doesn't have the ability to change her words to suit the situation.

If they had given her underground raver pants or snowboard pants with a snowboard jacket Ala Zoe’s, I would probably be more on (snow) board, but she grew on me the more I played with her and actually reminded myself to use the accessories and expose her monster attributes. Despite Abbey's background as being a Yeti from Nepal (a country in Asia), her accent and mannerisms are more similar to the Chuchuna which is a Yeti from Russian/Siberian folklore. The first G3 doll I got was Draculaura —a character I was neutral on in G1, but somehow, she really charms me in this generation. But I have so many other dolls that I want to talk about, I don't have much time for another G3 Monster High character. I'm grateful to Morgan for giving me a good excuse to get Abbey out of the box, because the way things go around here, dolls can languish in their packaging for years.
