About this deal

This is a book I’m going to reach for time and time again when the world feels like too much and I need to be wrapped in a cozy hug by these pages. Faced with a house filled with unexpected secrets, the couple will have to lean on their connection like never before to set things right before it’s too late . Tout d’abord j’ai eu la chance que Leabookjoy m’offre la version manuscrit qui est tout juste sublime. It's told like an extended epilogue mixed into a short story, with enough intrigue to keep the plot-thirsty readers happy, and more than enough romance to satisfy our swoony selves. For anyone who read and loved Sorcery of Thorns, if you didn’t already want to read this, I recommend it so much!

and you all know that i adore a magical house setting and exploring all the magical rooms, with some very alive grimoires! She felt, with a passion that tore at her, that she could make a real difference: that given the chance, she could find a way to protect both humans and books equally.

But it has also made me want to re-read Sorcery of Thorns before doing that but maybe I’m too impatient for that, lol. The couple must work together to get the magic under control before the Midwinter Ball, which they are hosting. With no access to the outside world, Elisabeth, Nathaniel, and Silas – along with their new maid Mercy – will have to work together to discover the source of the magic behind the malfunctioning wards before they’re due to host the city’s Midwinter Ball. But as they delve into the manor's history, new questions arise: is Mercy truly happy working at Thorn Manor? not every story has a happy ending, but most do, if you’re brave enough to keep reading until the end.

She might never know who had written the dedication, or how long ago, or to whom, but she could briefly clasp hands with them across eternity, a chance meeting of souls made possible by their shared love of a story. She has a bachelor's degree in anthropology, and when not busy reading or writing, she enjoys watching more documentaries than most people consider socially acceptable. As the group works to uncover the cause and a means to appease the wards, they discover hidden rooms containing secrets and get into some hilarious situations. Also, he dotes on Elisabeth just as much as she dotes on him and if that isn't precious I don't know what else could be.

I just loved seeing the romance between Elisabeth and Nathaniel develop even more and their interactions with each other were just the best thing ever. But something strange is afoot at Thorn Manor: the estate's wards, which are meant to keep their home safe, are acting up and forcibly trapping the Manor's occupants inside. It isn't a full length sequel (or a true sequel at all, I would argue), but rather a bonus novella with a lighthearted mystery/romance plot. It's beyond adorable to finally see Nathaniel admit to being in love, to see Elisabeth so fiercely protective of everyone in the house, and to truly see how much Silas has accepted Elisabeth into their little family. Although this wasn't the long sequel I wished for, this was still a solid story in it's own right, set almost entirely within the walls of the Thorn house that Elisabeth, Nathaniel and Silas find themselves trapped in.

I had so much fun listening to the audiobook and it was just this kind of book that instantly made me feel better. If anything, this story reminded me that I likely enjoyed Sorcery of Thorns more for its characters than anything else in the book. All of our books are 100% brand new, unread and purchased directly from the publishers in bulk allowing us to pass the huge savings on to you! Elisabeth and Nathaniel are simply adorable together, they tease each other and are authentic, and they also have each other’s back no matter what. I could not possibly recommend this book more highly and I have once again been reminded of why Margaret is now and forevermore one of my favorite authors of all time.

The plot is secondary in this novella, it’s all about cuteness, funny moments, and an overall heartwarming feeling. With how the other ended it, it looks like there could be potential plans for another novella or maybe even another novel? I laughed so hard and so often throughout this short little book, because his wit absolutely shines here. I really liked Sorcery of Thorns when I first read it, so the moment I picked this up I knew that I was going to love it and that I would love seeing what happened to these characters I loved.
