It's obviously faded but not as much as I thought it would and when it faded it just got lighter instead of looking washed out. This hair dye formulation has conditioning qualities that keeps hair feeling nourished, luscious, and looking its best.

I really love this colour and actually used it for about 18 months, however I found that it doesn't last long enough, (about a week, but fades to about half it's strength after 2 washes- 3 if you're very lucky) even on my hair that's bleached to almost white. In my previous post, I commented on Crazy Color hair dye being too runny and watery, and so I found the Directions one much better in terms of texture and formula. If you're using a colour for the first time, we also suggest that you do a strand test; pick a strand of hair at the back of your head and apply directions hair dye to the last couple of inches, that way if the colour isn't what you wanted you'll know about it before you dye your whole head. Around about a week after I dyed it red my friend dip dyed it purple using La Riche Directions in Violet.

Before I applied the dye it had reached about the same stage of fade-out as it had on this picture of me from New Years Eve.
