About this deal

Since the early days of Bonkers, I have been a champion of the "way cheaper than chips" range of perfume from European (mostly grocery) discount chain Lidl. IÄm pleasantly surprised and so far really happy with it But I'm gonna try So Elixir as well, really curious now!

If you love Coco Mademoiselle but can't afford it, go ahead and give Madame Glamour a try, you won't regret it!At first spray it's very screechy and alcoholic (my boyfriend absolutely hated it), but once it settles both on skin and clothes it gets really patchouli heavy and very close to Coco Mademoiselle (and Chance imho). I loved this when I got it last year, but maybe now that I've tried many perfumes since, I don't seem to love it anymore. But, if that's not enough, I've rounded up 20 ways you can exercise and get fit without spending a penny, both outdoors and at home. A spokesperson for Lidl said ‘Two independent consumer panel blind tests carried out by the Perfumer’s Guild on the Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour perfume against a hugely popular designer branded perfume revealed incredible results – 50 women in the first test voted overwhelmingly for the Lidl perfume with 89 per cent saying they would prefer to wear it over the designer brand.

Thanks for dropping by and letting us know what you think of the Lidl scent - am pleased to hear you too agree it is an excellent dupe. Verdict: It's not terrible, but it's not that special a fragrance for me, but it's a fragrance I'll use up in everyday life.I've also been told that Suddenly is supposed to be similar to Coco Mademoiselle which I can't afford right now and I can't compare since I haven't tested Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle. So far Suddenly Madame Glamour is the only Lidl fragrance that convinced me to some extent (X-Bolt made it to a "quite ok", the rest I found terrible). It has a tiny more of an oriental smell than coco Although when it settles quiets down a bit it is the EXACT same as coco mademoiselle.

However, I find it very screechy at the beginning, with strong citrus notes that remind me more of a cleaning product than a perfume. Madame is looser on it and instead has a slightly different, somehow showery wood note (if someone still knows the old purple shower gel from Lidl, "Red Summer" or something similar, there was also in it), which I also can't assign 100% (which smells more like patchouli components) - but which doesn't shout so loudly "here's my perfume! I went into my local Lidl on Sasturday to try their version and it just smells cheap and nasty to me. In the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product please carefully read any instructions provided on the label or packaging and contact the manufacturer.

I am in a bit of a mad busy work phase at the moment, but have lots of post ideas in the pipeline for when things calm down. English student living loans will once again rise by less than the rate of inflation, the Government has announced. I've never felt compelled to scrub off a fragrance, using tissues and spit, in the middle of a supermarket before (it would be Lidl of course, rather than a supermarket that has a bathroom)- first time for everything I suppose! Well, as it happens I nearly didn't make it, for my satnav had one of its funny turns and kept taking me to Church Street, Bridgtown (an outlying district), instead of Church Street in Cannock proper.
