In addition, there is the possibility to use up to 128 third-party IRs with the MG-30, making the compact multi-effect really up for absolutely any fun. I hope the market gives the 30 a fair shake, but it seems NUX is still only able to ship limited numbers.

While I'm at it: the patch with my flattening EQ, shared in the post 17, was designed to give unity gain when the (physical) volume knob of the unit is full up. Amp emulators and speaker IR's can often sound 2 dimensional compared to an open back combo amplifier. Then it's absolutely true that dialing in at the level that you play it is essential for getting things done.Hence the interest to make it even better by correcting what appears IMHO as "discussible" design choices regarding output modes. Putting the loop block before reverb and delay lets me get the expected response for ambient guitar sounds, instead of being forced to use the built-in expression pedal's only volume option at the very end of the amp/effects chain that reduces or kills the entire sound including delays when that pedal is used. Best of both worlds, albeit it can generate some noise, of course, if the proper tools and strategies are not used. I know on the 300 you can blank them out, the Pedal guy has a video of him using and saving a blank preset. I share below a pic showing how to set the parametric EQ to obtain a flat frequency response from the MG-30 in STUDIO DIRECT output mode.

Yeah I looked that up real quick, As I’ve been looking around at different rigs/equipment to play out with where I wouldn’t need AC mains power, and/or systems/equipment with inverter. Modulatable signal chain consisting of 11 independent blocks (Comp, EFX, Amp, IR, EQ, Mod, Delay, Reverb. Therefore, it might be interesting to tweak the bassrange with a preEQ between guitar and SLO model (which would involve once again the para EQ). an over voltage of less than a volt isn’t going to hurt anything new, At least it hasn’t on anything of mine yet. Luckily it has an IR loader built in, with about 26-ish (I can't remember exactly) slots for external IR's. Or use a para eq at the front of the chain, and lose a slot, but more importantly, lose the effect altogether, which is a bummer. I owned and played through the real thing for years and the MG-30 was the closest to that experience out of all the modelers I have owned.
