About this deal

I just found it a little unbelievable and shocking but not in a good way the fact that the lady from the train talked him down and then killed herself? That they all read James’s last message with concern and alarm, galvanising them into action is the most heartwarming aspect of this novel.

At KXU gym, he created a hand-stitched bench; we designed the shape, form and materiality and he did the rest. This was really nice and really sweet, it leant a bit heavy on the technology talk at times but in the end I think it was worth it. The book switches POV many times, we hear from James himself, his ex-girlfriend, his mum, his sister, his old best friend, his flatmate. I loved the premise (if that’s the right word, considering the topic) but I have to say this fell a little short for me. Are you a photographer, drama coach, accountant or anyone who provides services to people in the entertainment industry?I have bought from Paula a number of times now and she has even repairs a bookmark (twice) after it was chewed by my dog! And yes, it's great that James changed his mind in the end, or had it changed for him by circumstances, but he didn't really change his mind in the sense that he doesn't acknowledge how much of an ass he was and that he hasn't ruled out getting back to his plan in the future.

Contacts allows you to connect with anyone interested in a performing career plus more than 65,000 Spotlight members including thousands of top agents and the cream of UK and international casting professionals. I found the ending, after the build-up through the majority of the book, a little brief and almost jarringly unexpected. Having reached the age of forty, he's an eeny bit overweight and feeling more than a little disillusioned. I always think that relationships between architects and artists can be dangerous – they can go badly wrong. His 24 hour comedy events are the stuff of legend and I’ve got a deluge of memories of sitting at the Pleasance Dome or in strange Edinburgh lecture halls, drunk with excitement and fatigue, as an ever perky Mark Watson leapt around the room.We drew it, using a 3D scan of Concorde that we manipulated to foreshorten it before dropping it into a BIM model for them to work with. I was hoping that being written by a comedian, this book would bring some wit, warmth, levity and humour to the scenario and its cast of characters This is the first of Mark's books that I have read. I think this book did a great job of exploring how much of an impact technology can have on our relationships and the way we interact with one another.

I enjoyed the style of story telling, but felt that it was unfinished at the point of resolution for James. Each section is partitioned with colourful dividers featuring designs from across the Sara Miller Orchard collection. The story was so unusual and such a deep and insightful look at the way technology has changed the way we humans interact with each other. His books have the same blend of offbeat creativity, humour and thoughtfulness that characterises his stand-up.
