About this deal

While I have enjoyed several dinosaur-centered comics before, they very often skew towards being quite violent, and presenting dinosaurs as monsters. The first volume of the series is a rather charming workplace drama set in the most fantastic of workplaces, with gorgeously rendered dinosaurs sharing panels with strong character designs. So, my minor misgivings about this chapter ultimately came down to me being a painfully pedantic nerd, and despite that I still really enjoyed that chapter. Even after he shows his siblings how a puzzle box works and gets them food, they won’t stop picking on him.

Although the injury was ultimately superficial, his popularity plummeted, leading him to be sold off to Dinoland and replaced by another Triceratops with fully intact horns.

It is full of outstanding art, relatable characters, and a fun storyline that will leave you desperate for more dinosaur action and a chance to see how the park will change and how the staff's relationships will evolve in future volumes of Dinosaur Sanctuary.

Escaped Animal Rampage: The 2006 incident was one of these, with Enoshima's Allosaurus Ichigo, spooked by construction noises, killed her keeper and then injured herself in a panic, forcing the zoo to put her down. Also: where dinosaurs were shown as animals having different behaviours (getting sick after eating the wrong food, or caring for their young), in modern depections they are monsters and nothing but monsters, not shown in any natural behaviour at all.I think the thing that I loved most about this manga was that the dinos were treated like zoo animals, rather than specimens that were put on display for peoples entertainment. On en apprend sur son parcours, ses recherches et il souligne parfois des petits détails dans le chapitre qu'on vient de lire.

The series also has a specialist as consultant, so as much of the information and designs are as accurate as possible. But then, those people are weird, so don't worry about it if you like sharing what you're reading with others. Dinosaur Sanctuary is set in a world where dinosaurs have become a bit boring to the general public after having been rediscovered in the mid-20th century. Foreshadowing: In the first chapter, Kaidou complains how the zoo's old air conditioning units are old and in desperate need of repair. So it set a pretty high bar for the second volume, and I’m glad to say the continuing story absolutely succeeded in maintaining all the qualities I loved of the first book while building out the world and characters, and just being all round lovely! It's a story that effectively combines the slice-of-life, fantasy, and underdog genres in a digestible package. The author's and the consultant's love and respect of prehistoric life seeps through with every illustration and detail.
