Good luck getting this album off your stereo, and while there is the problem of production value, there really is nothing else that holds this album back from being a very good, if not great, hard rock album and a super start to My Chemical Romamces illustrious 12 year career. Bassist Mikey Way formed Electric Century along with Sleep Station vocalist David Debiak in 2014 and released their debut single "I Lied" in February 2014. Though it is generally accepted by the group's core fanbase, this has led some to attribute its supposed existence to over-analysis on the part of hardcore fans. Way shows that there is unity amongst the people, that no one is alone, but can't beg but ask whether or not there is hope to be found, the chorus pleading " This broken city sky, like butane on my skin stolen from my eyes / Hello, Angel tell me, where are you?
In Archer, Vince Ruston commented on the band's popularity in the queer and LGBT communities: "My Chemical Romance wanted to speak to and raise up every person who had ever felt outcast, downtrodden, or alienated. Undying creatures such as vampires and causes of death including drowning are evidence of the exploration of death, how to escape it, and what it means. Unlike future MCR albums to come, I Brought You Bullets misses the grandiose of its successors and focuses more on the "emotion-through-tone" aspect. The basis for the article was a statement by coroner Roger Sykes from the investigation into Bond's death, who expressed concern that her "emo" lifestyle glamorized suicide and suggested that her obsession with My Chemical Romance was linked to her death.
Keep in mind that this is a debut album on Eyeball records, so sound wise the music could use some production work.
