And you can even record your favourite guitar tones and the Bluetooth audio stream simultaneously using Mustang Micro’s USB-C output. It works great for acoustics with pickups not for silent practice but to use as a DI to a DAW via USB, although in that case you do need a much longer USB cable. Please give us the reason for your assessment in the following text box and – if possible – your e-mail address for further questions.

The innovative Fender Mustang Micro is a complete personal guitar amplifier, featuring a wide selection of amp tones and effects from the wildly-popular Mustang series. TIPS: We also provide tuition, from bite-sized tips to advanced work-outs and guidance from recognised musicians and stars. I usually link it to my PC via Bluetooth and I can play along to any of my records or anything on the internet. Whether you use the Fender Mustang Micro as a practice tool, for playing along with tunes streaming via Bluetooth, or as a quick and easy audio interface for recording your guitar, prepare to be amazed at the level of feel and tone Fender has crammed into this tiny package. The unit lets you jam along with tunes from your music library or streaming service through Bluetooth audio from your mobile device, tablet or computer.Mustang Micro’s 1/8” stereo headphone output allows you to use your favourite wired headphones or earbuds and silently play with a responsive touch and feel, without off-putting latency. Looking for the ultimate quiet practice solution, with a high-quality headphone amp that delivers all the tone and versatility of a full-sized combo? Brilliant piece of kit, now I don't have to imagine the sound I'm hearing when practising to backing tracks late at night and the convenience of not having to plug in to main amp. I keep one in the living room for when I want to have a late night jam and don't want to go down to the studio. You can also connect your phone via bluetooth to play backing tracks on it and jam (or practice exercises), which is really cool.

And that is good because you don’t want to, um, for, for the sort of younger players, haven’t played as long. Not all amps have a headphones output, and many occasions – young ones in the house, late nights, crowded accommodation – demand silent practice. The sound seemed fine otherwise, so probably still good for recording a track at home, with the headphone output to monitor sound. The USB output is solid enough that I was able to easily track a few rhythm guitar parts into my computer, though I’d probably use my “real deal” tube amp setup on actual studio recordings. Not as many Amp and tone models etc as the Pod, but enough sounds to make practice a pleasure without being distracted by all those sounds to choose from. The micro amp is just what I didn't know I needed, I have a Fender Mustang 3 v2 which is a bit big and cumbersome if you just want to practice in a small space without others being put out.
