To comply with the latest European Union environmental requirements, vehicle manufacturers are transitioning to a new A/C refrigerant – R1234yf. When your vehicle lacks compressor oil and you continue to use your air conditioning, your compressor can start to smoke.
MRL85 was developed by the world’s technical leaders in polyolester based lubricants to meet the twin challenges of (a) the flammable classification of HFO-1234, and (b) the need for superior di-electric properties in electric compressors on hybrids and others. My near final bit of advise is to fit the compressor and then leave the rest for a A/C engineer to purge the system, replace the drier, leak test and then vacuum the system.
