About this deal

While the album's songs are brilliant, there are a few stand-out hits and rituals which accompany them, such as Mike Oldfield’s ‘In Dulci Jubilo'. Who else but Barbara could offer such a moving performance of "Sleep in Heavenly Peace (Silent Night)" that is so beloved the world over? Other successful subseries included Air Guitar, Sixties, Club Anthems and the aforementioned alternative rock Best. And if you think Christmas music has lost its sense of religious meaning, "The Word Was Made Flesh" is all you'll need to reset your spiritual clock. His takes on the classics are pretty and lovably dog-eared (see his banjo-fied "Amazing Grace") and his originals add wrinkles to the canon.

James Brown made three Christmas albums, but the last one earns its place here by dint of being the weirdest. The record is actually a compilation of the best songs from James Brown's three previous holiday albums recorded between 1966 and 1970: James Brown Sings Christmas Songs, A Soulful Christmas, and Hey America. The Beach Boys are always ideal during any bout of nostalgia, and there's no time better than the Christmas season to enjoy exactly that.

Of course, this song is loved, too, for its association with possibly the best Christmas film in the world, The Snowman (another Christmas staple), but it’s also a stand-alone winner. Let It Snow" and "Winter Wonderland," Fitzgerald extends her vowels like she's stretching a Christmas bow to the stars – and when she's really feeling good, she punctuates songs with lip-smacking exclamations like "I'm just wild about hors-es! You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Quite sparsely arranged, it allows the Roche sisters’ harmonies to dazzle – the acappella Star of Wonder is magical – while their New York-accented Winter Wonderland is an absolute hoot. however on a number of indie music collections the genre aspect was replaced by a full list of artist names.Mixing modern and ancient, Christian and pagan, sung in a clean, distinctly Baltic vocal style, this music powerfully evokes the richly textured, American immigrant experience. which expresses weary optimism regarding the festive season: “It’s a fact of life whether you like it or not – so put your hands together and give it a shot. The heartwarming take on what the holiday season really means is pleasant for the entire family; meanwhile, the soundtrack by the Vince Guaraldi Trio is just as much of a classic as the movie itself. A sequel was released in November 2002 and another in November 2003, the latter proclaiming itself to be the last Air Guitar Album in the World.
