Despite the darkness, interestingly I ended this book with a smile, as there was a certain satisfaction with the final few pages of the book - an altogether fitting ending to a smashingly good read! The other POV character is Lyra, a 25 year old woman with an obsessive personality and a history full of her own trauma. An engaging and thrilling dive into toxic relationships, coercive control, the most dysfunctional families living in the most boring, every town you can imagine, this will keep you guessing what is going on, as short chapter after short chapter builds a picture of artifice, betrayal and murder. Um livro que me chamou a atenção desde a divulgação e que me prendeu durante toda a leitura, um casal sem dúvidas cheio de traumas e um relacionamento pra lá de problemático, mas que de uma forma doentia se completavam e deixa o leitor preso na leitura e preocupado com o que pode realmente acontecer.
