The writing is not great quality, there's definitely a whiff of wattpad writing here, but the characters are interesting and I enjoy complexity and unlikeable characters. Again, i always find the smutt very sweet and fluffyyy in sapphic books, which i am not saying i don't like, but i want to see a little rougher sex between women (again, open for book recommendations). This girls HATE each other and thats what makes this story so interesting its an ugly, dirty love and they are not afraid to hurt each other.

it's literally THE most overused trope and it just kinda spoilt my mood and my enjoyment by a lot, so i had to take down a few points for that lmao. it was quite literally "i hate her so much but she's so pretty i wanna kill her but why do i have a fascination with her lips" and omg THIS DELIVERED. Because I have internalized homophobia and you'll have to tutor me now even though the author mentions I'm capable of doing it on my own but I'm lazy! The plot, the dialogue, all of it was so creative and each scene was so captivating; as if I were watching it. A job that's made more difficult when everyone of the forty residents in the village has something to hide and answers her questions with a string of lies.I honestly can't tell you who i am more in love with, Adelaide or Juliette but they could both run me over with their car( or motorcicle). She's reaching for me, even if it's to hurt me—she's still reaching for me and I can't get enough of it.

they have identical vibes, but this book really shines where it is original and strays away from the parallels to liv and clay. I'd also like to say that I'm aware this is supposed to be some sort of like 'Dark Romance', but I just found the dark aspect of it extremely forced since it's just there since it's an Obsessive Bully x Their Victim 🥰 But both the characters are bland as cardboard and you know the author just forced little details there to excuse tension between them and sexual encounters.Adaline would argue that this is because a certain she-devil has been making her life hell for the last five years.
