Colors are lively and bold, perfectly saturated at all times and never displaying wonky contrast. Lighting can impact color temperature but there's Before Saul Goodman met Walter White, he was struggling attorney Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk). In this prequel to the Emmy®-winning series Breaking Bad, Jimmy teams up with "fixer" Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) and begins his transformation from optimistic underdog into Albuquerque's most notorious legal legend. Ethics Training with Kim Wexler (1080p, 28:04 total runtime): A "10 part legal education course" with Kim Wexler, filmed by Jimmy Audio Commentaries: For "Magic Man:" Peter Gould, Jennifer L. With many of the major players from 'Breaking Bad' returning for 'Better Call Saul,' their commentaries are just as entertaining as they were on 'Bad.' This is still the epitome of perfect commentaries. How do you make a good spin-off to arguably the best TV show that has ever run on television? How do you prequelize the series that everyone loved without tarnishing it's brand? That's the challenge the ' Breaking Bad' folks faced when they decided to spin 'Bad' off with an origins tale that focuses solely on one of the series' most likable criminal characters, Saul Goodman. Even though I love the Saul Goodman character, love 'Breaking Bad' and miss seeing it, I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I was a little frightened that 'Better Call Saul' would turn out like the ' Star Wars' prequels. I had forgotten what I learned from 'Breaking Bad': in Vince we trust. Thanks to an amazingly talented production crew, writing staff and a network that had the faith to let them do whatever came to their twisted minds, Vince Gilligan delivered 62 perfect episodes of 'Breaking Bad,' why should we doubt that they could deliver ten more? In Conversation: Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, and Rhea Seehorn (HD, 9 Mins.) - A cool little extra with the three main characters having a fun conversation. as aesthetically superior as ever and performed with the depth and elegance audiences have come to expect from Vince Gilligan's masterful show. The Ambush (HD, 30 Mins.) - The big action shoot-out in the Bagman episode is discussed in great detail by Vince Gilligan on how they accomplished this large-scale scene.

When you take the time to look at it, better call Saul does the exact same thing that breaking bad did: we follow two decent man into the pits of despair. It's another exploration of the downfall of man – but it couldn't be any more different from breaking bad. In its first 10 episode season, you never once get fatigued from watching the same routine play itself out. Saul is a different character, coming from different circumstances, and his level of criminality is quite different from that of Walter White/Heisenberg. Top that off with a drastically different tone, like that of a court room drama mixed with sarcastic humor, and that's what you're getting with the first season, but it shows us how James Magill turned into the slimy greaseball attorney that we would love to watch, Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk). The Ambush (1080p, 29:52): Vince Gilligan comments on top of part of the episode, speaking on the special effects, makeup, and Ethics Training With Kim Wexler (HD, 28 Mins.) - A funny in-character bit set in 10 segments that have Saul directing off camera the great Kim Wexler who gives advice to attorneys. A few characters stop in for the fun.
