About this deal

The display on the CITI600 is large and easy to read with all relevant information clearly represented. The addition of interchangeable mounts on the AD400Pro gives you the versatility to be able to mix and match with the equipment that you’ve already invested in, which is a feature that no other strobe head on the market can do. As a location photographer the locations provide plenty of color shift natively that masks any color shifts that might be present in the flashes. Were I shooting on a studio set with almost no variation in subject I might notice the drift. However I didn't see much shift from my White Lightnings despite their "primitive" design.

Whilst these two flashes are very similar, the AD200 Pro has the edge on the AD200, meaning that of the two, it is the AD200 Pro that you will struggle to find a Godox user without! The AD200 Pro is the most popular of this entire range for its versatility, and portable nature. The AD600Pro is a powerful, portable lithium-ion powered flash from Godox that combines TTL (Through-The-Lens) metering with reliable performance and versatile accessories. The flash offers extraordinary power output, with a guide number of 60 at 200mm in the most demanding conditions. It also offers stroboscopic and HSS (High Speed Sync) functions up to 1/8000th of a second. What is the guide number for the Godox AD600Pro? I ended up swapping out the overhead light for an Elinchrom ELB 500 TTL, which weighs little more than a gasp of air, and the AD600 Pro was used for the accent light. Now bear in mind that this is my personal choice, because I'm lugging kit all over the country most days of the week, and a lot of my shoots end up requiring overhead lighting, such as food etc. It's a new flash tube with different properties, even if we agree it's a 'fix' it still costs money to design and implement it. The Godox AD400 Pro TTL Witstro Flash Head is a versatile flash unit that is designed for outdoor and location use in mind. This model offers 600Ws with 9 steps of power output which ranges from 1/1 to 1/256. It's powered 2600mAh lithium-Ion battery that offers up to 360 full-powered flashes on a single charge with a recycle time of just 0.9 seconds - Perfect for location shoots where you don't want to have to worry about battery consumption. There's also a 38W LED modelling lamp that will help you effectively manipulate your light. The unit has an integrated 2.4 GHz wireless X system with a range of 100m. This system is compatible with Godox X triggers but also fully supports Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm & Olympus TTL systems. To learn more about the difference between these two flashes, as well as the pros and cons of this flash, read our AD200 vs AD200 Pro comparison blog. Combined, these three features take the already versatile studio strobe to a whole new plane of utility and the PiXAPRO CITI600 with the ST-IV trigger does a fantastic job of it. In the months that I’ve owned mine, I can attest that the HSS functionality works perfectly without flaw. Using the standard reflector, and a Polaris Karat lightmeter, placed thirty inches from the front of the reflector, I recorded the following results with the meter set to a sensitivity of ISO200:

It is great when you own both because it is a simple answer, if you need it then it is worth it, if you don't it won't be - for me a definite yes Overall, the AD400Pro and AD600Pro are both amazing portable flashes that perform very well in both indoor and outdoor settings.STREAMLINED HIGH-INTENSITY REFLECTOR - Included with the Godox AD600 Pro is a modern, streamlined high-intensity reflector. This lightweight modifier improves on the designs of other reflectors, allowing you to direct the light exactly where you need it and also comes with a Bowens S-type fitting, allowing you to use a wide variety of modifiers You can spontaneously Link to simultaneous multi camera systems! Shoot Nikon and Canon at this same time and the XPLOR will automatically sense and respond accurately. Have one photographer use a Sony and the other a Panasonic, without a care to re-sync! Textiles are a good litmus test for colour consistency, mainly because textile clients will know if their product is correctly coloured, or not. And they can spot a 100 degrees kelvin difference a mile off, I kid you not! The onset of an extraordinary voyage. R2 Radio is one of the most exacting wireless systems available to the world of professional and amateur photographers. I used a competitor battery powered monolight for about 4 years steady. I never quite got the same results as the hype that went with those units. When I switched cameras and that company did not support my cameras, it was time to change. I studied and studied and went with Godox/Flashpoint. Good move on my part.

Godox AD600 Pro TTL Flash Unit 600Ws TTL / HSS Battery Powered Portable Flash Strobe with 38W Modelling Lamp and High-Efficiency Reflector Photographers nowadays need everything to be portable, lightweight and easy to set up and take down, which is exactly what the AD400Pro provides. The AD600 Pro also offers a very powerful modeling lamp, meaning that this light can also be used as a video light alongside its flash capabilities! Offering a 38w light, as well as a 4-hour battery life from a single charge, the AD600 Pro is a great tool for both videography and flash photography. I think it depends on what your shooting , nearly 2 secs recycle on full power for model or portrait work might be too slow to keep the flow. The AD200 Pro and the AD200 have an awful lot in common; both lights offer 200Ws of power, a transmission range of 100m, TTL and HSS capabilities, 32 channels, around 500 full-power flashes, as well as both offering a lightweight and portable flash photography option. Lighting modifiers such as softboxes, barn doors, snoots and beauty dishes are also readily fitted directly to the unit or the attached mount.

IMPROVED 38W LED MODELLING LAMP - Improving on the AD600's 10W LED modelling lamp, the AD600 Pro boasts an impressive 38W LED modelling lamp making it much more versatile and useful, especially in lit areas These are all worthwhile improvements but if you don't benefit from them then good news you get to save half your money, you win either way. So, as per your list, faster recycling time, and a stable color temp mode are the only real features, but the number of flashes has been reduced by a third. How is this worth a price premium?

We don't like being beaten on price.

I will add that using the modeling light on location during daylight hours will not usually work due to light levels. Build Quality This one’s a bit new to me, but it may be a useful feature for you. For whatever settings you have dialed in, the display on the CITI600 tells you exactly how fast the flash duration will be, up to 1/10,000th of a second. The Godox AD range of flash heads is by far the most popular of the Godox flash series and for good reason! Every light is powerful, portable, lightweight and exceptionally high quality, so it's no wonder that photographers are all looking to expand their kit using these lighting solutions. However, a few of the questions we often get asked are, what exactly is the difference between the lights in this series, what can each power level of the AD range get you, and which modifiers will these lights work with? To answer these questions, and more, we have created a comprehensive guide to buying your Godox AD flash head! This XPLOR 600Pro TTL can be linked and synced to be triggered wirelessly in complete TTL operation with any R2 transmitting member of the R2 Family: The prodigious Flashpoint models of Streaklight 360, Zoom Speedlights, R2T and R2Pro Remote Transmitters - all work seamlessly to clear the path onto the challenge of mastering the light, wherever you go. Absorb it well, and the mighty lighting tool you have before you will become a beacon of power in your arsenal of creative photography. Another highlight for me is the improved 38-watt LED bulb modeling lamp versus the ten-watt on the original non-pro model. With this modeling lamp boost, the Pro model is much more versatile as well competitive to the high-priced alternatives. It also becomes useful outside of just dimly lit studios.
