About this deal

It offers all this through Sky’s impressively content-focused, platform-neutral and ever-improving interface, too, and all without compromising Sky’s AV standards. In fact, its HD picture quality in particular comfortably outperforms that of the Sky Q satellite broadcasting platform. If your settings are already 16:9 and you're not seeing the whole picture, try switching the picture format to 4:3 instead. This may produce a slight stretching effect, but it will allow the picture to fill the screen. On the positive side, programmes allow you to “Play from start” if you come in halfway through and you also get some, albeit not all, of the fancier features from Sky Q’s sports channels, including the ability to catch up with highlights while you’re watching.

And it remains the case that not all programmes are available to playlist in the same way they can be recorded on Sky Q. Match of the Day on a Saturday night, for example, won’t appear on your Playlist until the following Monday due to rights restrictions. However, Playlist has improved since launch and you can now add more programmes than ever, including BT Sport shows. There’s also the option to save your own picture settings in the Custom mode, which allows you to adjust various parameters, including contrast, video brightness, colour saturation, hue/tint, white balance, local dimming and colour temperature. Each popular Sky TV show now has a ‘show centre’, too. This is a hub from which users can access all seasons, episodes, broadcast schedules and on-demand links, and these show centres even exist for certain Disney+ shows such as The Walking Dead and Loki. Frequent updates have made it even easier to navigate, too: 'expanded view' has replaced the static side-bar menu with a collapsible one that can be hidden to give more screen real-estate to what you're actually browsing.

Press services on your Sky remote, then select Accessibility and highlight Increase Sky+ Contrast and Font Size. Go up to the Menu bar and choose Image>Rotate>Flip Layer Vertical. Now it should look much better. Now to extend the sky to the top go up to the Menu bar and choose Image>Transform>Free Transform. Or use the keyboard shortcut: Control+T (Mac:Command+T). Why can’t I enlarge the image in Skype? But, my problem is that I don't know for sure if it is a battery issue or something else so I am hoping that some kind folk will answer the question about if rechargeable AA batteries can be used in a Sky+remote. Not only is SDR performance better than it was at launch, but Sky has also improved its HDR output considerably. It still isn’t the last word in HDR performance but it does now deliver convincing and enjoyable HDR picture quality.

You can use the buttons on your Sky remote to access your TV guide, pause, play, rewind or fast-forward live TV or recordings, change your volume, record a programme, and more.Sky Stream provides satellite dish-free access on any TV of your choice to the same unique Sky mix of 150-plus live channels, unmatched quantities of premium live sport, fully integrated third-party streaming service and vast library of on-demand movies and TV shows for which Sky has long been renowned.

Audio quality remains as good as ever, although that didn’t need improvement as badly as picture quality did. It isn’t as good, it must be said, as if you were to connect a decent dedicated soundbar, such as the Sonos Beam 2, but better than you’ll get with most TVs at around the price of Sky Glass.Indeed, Sky Glass plays host to a full 3.1.2 Dolby Atmos-compatible audio system. Four drivers are housed in the “soundbar” part of the TV – one centre speaker, one 120mm bass woofer and two stereo drivers – and there’s a pair of upward-firing Atmos speakers in the top corners of the TV set to deliver Atmos’ height effects. The reason I ask is that my remote stopped working altogether. No channel change or programme index .... Nada. The most important thing about the Playlist is that it essentially replaces the Record feature on Sky Q. The big difference being that stuff you choose to store is held on Sky’s own remote servers, rather than on local memory built into the Sky Stream box. Volume seems to be well standardised across the channels, so you don’t have to keep reaching for the remote whenever you switch over.
