If not, don't worry about it - they do have had one of the longest safety records as preservatives!

Vitamin A derivatives are the gold standard ingredients in skincare, and retinal has been making its way into more skincare products recently. It’s usually encapsulated, which improves the stability of the retinal (retinoids are notoriously unstable – one study found that some retinol products on the market are 80% decomposed after 6 months), but also releases the retinal gradually onto the skin, so there’s less irritation. Sometimes I have some doubts about whether all the retinal makes it out of some encapsulation systems. But I don’t think it’s a big issue for cyclodextrin (the main system used in skincare products with retinal), or liposomes, which is what Beauty of Joseon uses. The retinal is at 0.02% which is a low-to-medium concentration. Here at K Beauty UK we have grown to love the huge range of nourishing and kind-to-skin formulas that Pyunkang Yul have to offer and that is why we have worked hard to become leading suppliers of this fan-favourite Korean skincare brand. So I think this product could work if it fits into your routine. If you have really dehydrated skin and you want one hardcore hydrating product in your routine that keeps your skin plump all day – this isn’t it. But if you want something lightweight and soothing, if your skin isn’t super thirsty, if you want a hydrating toner for summer, or if you use lots of layers of hydration, if you’re doing the 7 skins method, this is great. Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sun Cream I have mixed feelings about having all these very similar Kolmar sunscreens on the market. I’ve seen Odile Monod say it’s boring, and while I kind of agree, it’s also really nice to have variations of my favourite formula. If you don’t like this formula or if you’re allergic to one of the components it’s probably less of a good time for you… Mixsoon Bean Essence I’ve found that this essence is just amazing for hardcore hydration with a side of soothing. I’m not sure if this does actually help my skin recover faster when it’s irritated or if it’s just the hydration helping, but it works really well for this.

However some sulfates are so good at their job, they can wash off your skin’s own natural oils that keep it moisturised and protected which can lead to dryness and irritation. Overall, this was a very good batch of products – I think I might’ve had my thumb on the scales a bit, because I do know what I’m looking for in products! Being a combo oily skin, I personally did not feel tight or dry just because it settled on my skin that way. Balance. It is one of the key elements of any skincare routine that people often forget to keep tabs on. If you’re prone to breakouts or dull patches from time to time, you may focus on small things and neglect your wider skincare routine. So far we were writing about ceramides in plural. It's because there are lots of different ceramides, a 2014article writes that currently 12 base classes of ceramides are known with over 340 specific species.Chemically speaking, ceramides are the connection of a fatty acid and a sphingoid base and both parts can have different variations that result in the different types of ceramides.

Now the question is only this: If we put ceramides all over our face do theywork as well as ceramides already naturally in our skin? Well, the answer is probably a no, but they do work to some extent. The BeautyBrains blog made a fantastic article about ceramides and they have listed a couple of examples about studies showing that ceramides - especially when used in certain ratios with cholesterol and fatty acids - do hydrate the skin and can help to repair the skin barrier. The obvious thing this immediately does is hydrate the crap out of your skin. Hydration is really the main thing behind that glowy “glass skin” look, and I think this is why this product keeps going viral – the hydration just gives so much instant gratification! The first and biggest concern is that if EGF is so good at stimulating cell proliferation, how does it relate to cancer? Isthe definition of cancer not "cells proliferating out of control"? Most experts agree on this answer: EGF ismitogenic (= stimulates cell proliferation) but notmutagenic (= does not alter the cell to make it cancerous) .If you do not have cancer, you will not get cancer from EGF. However, if you have cancerous cells, EGF will help them to spread, just like it helps healthy cells. So if you have a lot of moles, excessive UV exposure in the past, or if you have any of the skin cancer risk factors, we suggest you should think twice about using EGF products. The same is true if you have psoriasis, a skin disease related to the abnormal growth of epidermal skin cells. You do not want to add fuel to the firewith EGF. Pretty sure it’s not a pretty sight when it actually drops to the floor haha. Some information behind the bottle and on the box it came with. There's still a lot of support for avoiding parabens following the better safe than sorry route. If you do we completely support you! Ginseng: Their star ingredient, which they say they included because it’s been shown to target wrinkles. It’s a hugely popular ingredient in Korean skincare.
