My van is a 2013 Sterling Elite Emerald with the on-board water tank. On the outside of the van there are two connections, straight to taps or via tank. Do what I'm already doing via the mains but plug into the "via tank" connection. I guess this would fill the tank, and the on-board pump would improve the pressure to the taps. Then I'd need to drain the tank down after each trip.

We took delivery of a new Coachman 575VIP in June 2018. One weekend to get used the van and then off to Spain and France for three weeks in July. I have read posts about the hose where it fits onto the spigot becomes loose or adrift, but surely this shouldn't happen on two new assemblies or is a problem with the caravan system? Tips: Ensure your Watermaster mains is unplugged when not in use or when van is unattended. Ensure Watermaster mains is kept in a clean dry storage area away from direct sunlight when not in use. Can be used as a hose pipe by fitting the plug adaptor to the plug which will allow water to flow. With the flow strangled to a weep or full bore, then if you stop off the piping completely so have no flow, then the pressure throughout the pipework is exactly the same, this is what make pressure regulating valves so potentially dangerous in our application. Reliance on the pressure regulators seating being more perfect than any on board leakage. Suitable for use with caravans and motorhomes with either microswitch or pressure switch systems. Regulates mains water pressure to nominal 1.5 bar (max. 1.8 bar). Ideal for use in UK and European Parks with mains water hook-up facilities. Personally I prefer to have the water delivered from the Aquaroll by the standard on-board pump, as I know I haven't had any leaks in 10 years of ownership using that method. I would echo John19's comment " Others would have to make their own judgement on the condition of their caravan pipework".

In high value products, like aircraft and ship's storage tanks, pressure regulators are never used as we have as a single valve, but supplemented with a pressure relief to the safety valve. Otherwise the plane's wing of ship's hull could be over stressed by an unfortunate particle of debris. To me my caravan is of high enough value, it's well being is never going to be reliant on a standalone pressure reducing valve. The easy connector from tap to caravan for continuous water supply. No need to carry heavy water containers. Allows a reliable continuous supply of water. Delivers water without using battery power. Ideally you should have started your own thread (question) as the answers to your problem will be different to the original and then things can get confusing. .. There should be two water pump controls, it seems. The main internal pump and a external pump (for the drop-in (aquaroll) pump.I hope I'm making sense here, we have only had the van a few months and done 3 weekends in it so I'm still a little green. We are currently on a long week end and the connection at is now leaking again when the pump is working.

Just interested as to see if anyone else has experienced this problem with new whale submersible pumps - I think it is an EP1642. For the latest information and advice on COVID-19, please refer to the latest updates by the UK Government. It is common that domestic grade plumbing pipes and connectors are used in caravans and MH's, product specifications as per JG Speedfit for example can readily cope with typical UK Mains Water Pressure.TheWHALE Watermaster Mains Water Connectioncan be used as a hose pipe by fitting the plug adaptor to the plug, which will allow water to flow. Please Note: To use the Watermaster Mains Water Hook Up with an onboard Smartflopump, the inlet strainer (if included with the pump) must be removed. Please Note: To use the Watermaster Mains Water Hook Up with an onboard Smartflo pump, the inlet strainer (if included with the pump) must be removed. The easy way to draw water from the mains supply into the caravan, with no electrical connections required. Provides protection against flooding as an automatic valve will stop water spraying when plug is removed. Our collections by our couriers are happening as usual. As it stands, delivery times are not being affected too much.
