About this deal

It has 2 main components, the base, and the actual machine, and as you can see below, it's pretty simple, and beautiful! The EasyPress 2 heats up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit which makes it perfect to use with infusible ink products since you need constant, spread-up high heat for the transfer to be successful.

Before using Cricut EasyPress Mini ensure that fabrics and other base materials are completely dry. What is the Cricut EasyPress Mat and Do I need one? Temperature button: To set a temperature, simply press this button and use the + or – to get to your desired temperature. Hold this button down and you can change between Fahrenheit and Celsius.I’ve heard the craft community buzz about the Cricut EasyPress for a long time, and before getting one I thought that it was a little unnecessary, because I *could* do iron-on with my regular iron. Cricut originally released the EasyPress in 2017, and it came only in a 9” x 9” machine. The company then release the EasyPress 2 in 2018, which comes in three different sizes: 6” x 7” (ideal for smaller items like baby clothes), 9” x 9” (ideal for everyday use), and 12” x 10” (ideal for larger format projects). For flat base materials, find a firm, flat, heat-resistant surface around waist high and use an Easypress Mat to protect surface.

I’m going to be totally honest with you—if you only do a few heat transfer or iron-on projects a year, you probably don’t need an EasyPress or EasyPress 2. But if you do a lot of crafting work, this bad boy will up your quality while also saving you time. And if you sell your products, you need a heat press to ensure uniform, professional results across your projects. The Cricut EasyPress Mat is a must have, in my opinion. Have you ever tried to do iron-on projects on a towel and ended up with a ton of moisture? Or on an ironing board and ended up with some wonky rippling in your design? The EasyPress Mat prevents all of this, all while being use to use and store. Cricut EasyPress 6 x 7 inches: This is the smaller size of the regular design EasyPress, at 3.3lb in weight is perfect for small flat projects like: Safety Note: Do not use the EasyPress while small children or pets are around, and always return the EasyPress to its safety base when you’re not using it. Even when it’s not hot, it’s just good practice. The heat plate can get VERY hot and cause severe burns if you touch it. Step 1: Cut design The EasyPress also has a control panel that allows you to not only set the temperature to exactly what you need but also the time that your project needs to be pressed.Plug and turn your EasyPress 2 on, set your temperature: Depending on what you are using you need to set the temperature accordingly, for this sample project the temperature should be 290°F (or 145°C) and the times to 30 seconds. Cut your design: First you need to cut your design and weed it, remember that you need to mirror the design before cutting if you are using heat transfer vinyl for your project. in this case, I am going to share the sample project that comes with the Easypress 2, so I didn't have to cut it and the carrier sheet comes with the shape of the graphic, so there is no weeding to do. The EasyPress is a Cricut machine companion, it combines the lightweight portability of a regular iron with the evenly-distributed heat and the surface of a heat press.

Speaking from personal experience, I think the EasyPress 2 does a much better job on metallics, foils, and other special items that aren’t plain ol’ vinyl. The temperature can be more difficult to control with an iron, and using the EasyPress can help you get the exact right temperature and time needed to ensure results that last. The only iron-on project I’ve ever had fail was actually 3. Flat, stable surface. Gets hotter—precise temperature control up to 400°F (205°C); the original EasyPress has precise temperature control up to 360°F (180°C). Set your timer and apply pressure: Once you have everything lined up and ready, set your timer and apply down pressure by holding the handle on the EasyPress.Use the Cricut Heat Guide or Cricut Heat app (for Cricut EasyPress 3) to determine project settings. When using Cricut EasyPress Mini on shapely objects like shoes and hats, use a shoe form, hat form, or folded towel inside to create a firm pressing surface. Use a Cricut EasyPress Mat or Cricut Pressing Mat rather than a folded towel. Towels hold too much moisture and cause unwanted transfer effects. Cut your design: First, you need to cut your design and weed it, remember that you need to mirror the design before cutting if you are using heat transfer vinyl for your project. in this case, I am going to share the sample project that comes with the Easypress 2, so I didn't have to cut it and the carrier sheet comes with the shape of the graphic, so there is no weeding to do. With a household iron, you will never know the exact temperature of the exact area you are trying to press. This means that when you are pressing with an iron, while some areas might get the required heat, other areas might not.

Heat Up Time: The EasyPress 2 rises to temperature up to 25% faster than the original. The mini size heats up in just over one minute, and the medium size takes just two minutes. You could also use a folded towel on a flat surface with your project on top of it. When you apply the EasyPress, the raised seam or zipper areas will flatten out since the towel material has a bit more give. 3. Use a folded towel as a fillerThe seamed or zippered areas should “hang” over the sides of the cardboard. Remove the EasyPress immediately after your press time (usually 30 or so seconds) and let the cardboard cool completely before handling. 2. Use a towel as a base Cricut EasyPress vs EasyPress 2: Why the new Easy Press is even better than the original and why you need to get one for yourself! So if you plan to make small projects, your best bet would be to go with either the 6×7 inches or the 9×9 inches. This bag, with all of its multiple layers, was super easy to create with the larger sized EasyPress 2, especially since I was using foil iron on. Iron on foil burns very easily and you have to be careful not to “overcook” it. With a smaller press, you have to move it around, and you may overlap areas that you already pressed. A single press ensures an even heating time on all parts of the design and ensures the foil doesn’t burn.
