All in all I like it, and I have used the Pioneers and the Behringer DDM4000 ( I only use mixers for radio). I now do not need a sperate controller for jingles nor for the effects. Use the Serato DJ Pro effects (choose A or B in your effects channels). Takes a little bit of getting used to if you have come off the Pioneer SP1 but you will get the hang of it. The Mixars Quattro features stereo send and return ports that allow you to connect effects units into the mixer. The wet and dry amount can be controlled with the mixer, allowing you to integrate your favourite equipment. Connect your external effects unit, and utilise both your external effects and the built-in effects produce a unique mix. Ideal For Clubs & Home Setups

VirtualDJ Pro Full can be used as a stand-alone software in case of emergency, but to truly unleash its power, you might want to connect it to some dedicated hardware. Moving the physical control on your Quattro will now move the position of the corresponding parameter in Ableton. With a one-to-one MIDI mapping, each control on your Quattro can only be assigned to a single parameter in Ableton Live. Limited Ableton parameter options to map to

Set the Phono/Line switcher in each input to the appropriate position depending on whether you connected a turntable or cd-player on the step above. The mixer is Serato DJ enabled, meaning it communicates fully with Serato DJ. It has completely mapped out functions, allowing it to seamlessly integrate with the software. You can use the USB port to connect the mixer to your laptop. As this is Serato DJ and DVS enabled, the controls are mapped out already to fully work and communicate with the Serato DJ software, providing you with an effortless setup and DJing experience. Connecting and setting up the Mixars Quattro with Ableton Live is a simple task, after they're connected you'll be able to adjust the software's parameters from your midi DJ controller. The effects sections of the Mixars Quattro is a mixed bag. The Quattro has a good selection of effects which includes four channel effects and 14 BPM-synced beat effects which are all post-fader, but overall they don’t sound as good as effects you’d find on Pioneer DJ mixers.

Pioneer DJ have improved the already club standard features of the previous DJM900. The DJM-900NXS2 has 4 phono stages, 24 bit 96khz sound card and 2 USB ports for dual laptop use. It’s also got adjustable fader curves and an FX section evolved brilliantly from its predecessor. There is a further USB send/return to connect an iPad so you can can patch effect apps (such as RMX1000 for iOS) for full emulation of that unit. The DJM-900NXS2 works harmoniously with the CDJ2000NSX2 to make it the ultimate setup for those using Rekordbox. You can also use it in conjunction with Serato DJ Pro, Traktor, and ShowKontrol. Make sure that the Quattro is selected as your audio input and output device in your audio settings. But, if you don't find what you need here, keep in mind that VirtualDJ Pro Full is compatible with many other controllers, mixers, etc. on the market. Mobile DJs will probably want to get all-in-one controllers, easy to transport and install anywhere. The unit has a pre-defined Audio setup and a special button in the AUDIO tab of Config to provide that. Alternative Audio setups can be applied in the same window.Before updating to macOS 11 Big Sur please take note of whether your Serato DJ Primary hardware is ‘Supported'.
