About this deal

Johnson's move to Spurs may have been painful for Forest, but Cooper was certainly allowed to beef up his squad on a frantic day at the City Ground. The gulf in ability today was absolutely enormous. Forest looked like an U12s team in the first half we were that dominant. Again, credit to Forest for making things though and digging in. Then taking their chance when it presented itself. Reminder it's the first team we've played at home since Arsenal where our fans thought the opposition were better and/or their club bigger than us. And every other team we've played we expected to be able to beat them or we think we are at their level or better. If Forest went up you could see them giving us two difficult games at full pelt and being half arsed against City. A lot of clubs hate us, be it historical rivalry or whatever

As for invasions, of the 193 countries in the UN we have invaded, had control of or fought conflicts in 171. Just let that sink in. That’s 90 percent of the the total and leaves just 22 countries that we haven’t either invaded, controlled or fought in.Think Forest played really well, reminded me of how Brentford played against us at the beginning of the season. That Djed Spence looks like a really good player. They're nowhere near the worst team. They had a dreadful start to the season, but they've got their act together now. Saints, Everton, L***s; all poorer sides. Caught that Farrar Wiliams pundit on football focus, said Chelsea played some good stuff in the first half yet missed chances. Forest in the second decided to change it and open up catching Chelsea napping. Should have scored four, didn’t adjust for Elanga‘s pace and conceded a dumb one. Was it just me or did that look like a Forest player handled in the box from our corner that led to their goal?

Cooper very complementary about city. Nice and refreshing to have a positive interview from another manager. Old school cup tie against an ancient enemy, who might be diminished but remembered their pride. Needed much more mudWe played like a world class team in the first 30 minutes against Palace, made everyone sit up and take notice. Today was a grind from the first whistle. Yes we dominated the ball but created very little. It's been a while since the first game I watched, in the Bridgford End with my dad, Flip le Flem scored. defensive minded players on the pitch, Gallagher and Enzo included in that as theyre not exactly goal scorers or assist machines. What does Poch expect? This is against Forest at home!

Eyeballs suggest we did not create nearly enough against an opposition we should be beating comfortably. We managed to pin them in their own half a few times during the match, but never had the control of the match. Not good enough. Gibbs White will probably be of interest to some top half teams. They signed him for 40m and apparently on fringes of England squad so that will help bumping his price up. Gave us a bit of a game there as on the night not much difference between CL favourites and Championship side. That's the plus about the FA Cup as it was their European night and a great atmosphere.

We are credited with creating the largest Empire in history. I believe we ruled about 23% of the known world at the time. There’s a reason they have two stars on their shirts. And that’s when it was a true ‘Champions’ League. Ignoring anything else, just the sheer upheaval means we won’t rejoin the EU this decade. Given everything that has happened it will be longer than that in my opinion which at least gives the opportunity to fix things. Spot on. Probably the shittest team i have seen this season.Their manager always looks like he's permanently pissed up.

Will Forest's revolving door keep them safe again?Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper did brilliantly to mould an unprecedented number of new arrivals into a squad that stayed in the Premier League last season - and will hope a busy deadline day sets him up for something similar this term. They arrived in addition to six previous signings - Anthony Elanga, Matt Turner, Ola Aina, Andrey Santos, Gonzalo Montiel and Murillo. If we had a decent Government then I would have had a much harder time of it. Particularly if there had been a plan that kept us close, but not too close, with the EU. Cooper said after they were speaking about 'what ifs' that's massive confidence from someone who came in 2nd last time out.

The area that needed much reinforcement has been completely overhauled by top signings. Sangare should transform this area meaning less pressure on the defence nd more opportunities for the forwards. Dominguez is another proven player. I cannot believe that all of a sudden these players are going to end up like Having another Freuler nd Mangala...if it happens again then it means there is something wrong within Forest. He expected Forest to park the bus, which they did. This was the anti-bus lineup that he planned day 1 when he acquired Havertz and started shifting Partey to RB. Worked ok for 1st half, but not spectacular. It's an obvious window for me where we have looked at how to just take the system we have and play it better Spurs are playing better since getting rid of Conte and Kane, yet we still can't score a single goal vs Notts Forest after spending 1B. You can't f**king make it up. All this money has been spent to not score goals ffs.
