Now you'll smell it when coming within close proximity, but it simply means that longevity is bizarre. It's actually something I'm used to from Oudh containing fragrances where the ingrediënt plays a main role. Woody fragrances usually last longer than any other type of perfume, but woody-oudy ones take the cake. Even when it was created by a chemist and not in nature. Quality: 8.5 (Above average quality, good performance, quality ingredients, nice heavy flask, good sprayer) Smells like a dessert is cooking in a wood fire. Even the scent feels warm to my nose and there is this uncanny wood smoke aftersmell/nosefeel when I exhale. Then the sandalwood comes through more. It does smell pretty cheap, a little reminiscent of an air freshener, but it's not gonna smell expensive for that price. The vanilla is pretty synthetic at start, smells like vanilin sugar, but it does get more creamy with time.

Now, when *I* say a fragrance lasts into eternity that's definitely of note. As a rule perfumes never last long on my skin. 30 minutes isn't an exception. When I pass a 3hr mark that's cause for celebration. My skin is of the very dry, perfume eating variety that loves to boost woody, leathery, earthy, spicy and citrusy notes and prefers to ignore sweet, fruity, floral etc (no mature perfume is ever too sweet on me). The Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud perfume is popular among those who want to make a statement with their scent. It is designed to be long-lasting, so you can enjoy its captivating aroma all day. I've been wearing it every day for a week straight after I got it. And I know it's spring and I hoarded a buncha spring perfumes to specifically wear IN SPRING... but I'm too addicted to this one :')A lad in my pool team asked me what I was wearing as he liked it, next week he came in wearing it, or at least I thought. He'd bought this stuff. Not quite as smoky as By The Fireplace, and much sweeter, has a real golden syrup vibe to it. The opening is spicier too, then it dries down to the BTF scent. To start off I want to go ahead and mention that Ameer Al Oudh smells nothing similar to 24 Gold of Scentstory. It's Ameer's sister Raghba which is the one who smells similar to 24 Gold. If I had to say which season this would be most compatible with / reminds me of then - autumn definitely, and winter. But truthfully, it would be nice no matter the season, the weather should just not be very warm. So, on a colder summer night - why not? :) An oriental wood sandalwood-oud combo with a synthetic general woodiness, a very sweet opening and a creamy vanilla throughout.

In the opening you get the cambodian oud with full strenght, blended with cinnamon and nutmeg. This notes will stay active for the entire longevity of the fragrance. The heart notes serve mainly the purpose of building a bridge for the base notes blending, and the scent become sweeter and smoother then. The drydown is very pleasant with the strong different woods softened by the sweetness of cinnamon and vanilla, and the smoothed by a confortable amber. I debated buying this for months. MANY months. Why was I so hesitant? Because of the gender poll here saying its more masculine than feminine. Well, I don't agree. 100% unisex. I love Khamrah, but it gets annoying after a while; opens so nice but eventually gets too powdery and feminine on my skin. Words of advice: Preferably do not wear this in warmer seasons. I'd advice people to wear this in chilly to colder weather, for that is when it's able to smell it's best. During warmer weather I find it, somewhat suffocating and a bit sour. And also go easy on the trigger. Two to three sprays are really enough.Day 2- I have not smelled that cumin tinge I smelled at the initial spray. It seems a little less dusty/powdery and more sweet. Hoping it becomes even better after letting it sit a while. Growing on me :)
