About this deal

We're always here, so feel free to ask your questions whenever you want to and you will get replies, for sure. Hopefully you will get a follow up in 3 months time and will have a better picture of how your recovery is going. If you dont hear, chase your Consultants secretary. I was treated at Atkinson Morley St Georges Hospital Tooting.

My plan for the rest of this year is to take more time for myself, doing things that I want to do, the one big thing for me is learning to drive, I am determined to do that, I have been testing my memory with a Theory Test Book. Over time, it will get better to some extent - as did mine - but as Tina says it is still very early in recovery stages. Good things to be doing for him will be to make notes of anything he needs to remember, keep a diary, keep on repeating things until they become long term memories. Once you transfer the memory into the 'other box' he stands a better chance of remembering.A brain injury, as I found out, is slow to recover. My road to recovery has had its bumps but I have seen a grand child born, a son marry, taken some vacations and little things like sitting in the yard and fixing some plants. By signing up as a member, you'll be able to access our entire support forums straightaway as some parts of the forum are only available and visible to members. When you visit your doctor or hospital, write down a list of questions before you go and write down the answers so you can remember them later. As with other aspects of subarachnoid haemorrhage, your memory will improve with time, but your short term memory may never be what it once was.

My thoughts are with you on your first year and also my best wishes for many many more. This is tough, but life is beautiful and we are survivors. Use the clown key on the console near the save point, and ascend the staircase on the right. Walk through the yellow door, and collect the items in this room: anti-regen ammo (RAMRODs), shotgun ammo, a grenade, two med injectors and an incendiary grenade. I realised this week that I am supposed to be going abroad when my follow up appointment is to take place. I suspect I should be able to fly, but I currently have an open question with the consultant as to whether this is possible. If you're experiencing difficulties after suffering from a SAH or stroke or have difficulty leaving your home, an online community can often provide a useful tool to help you cope as you recover and adjust to life. E.g. this week I have definitely pushed myself more and it's been okay, for example I got the tube for the first time (haven't had the energy to do much outside the house until now, and have struggled a lot with loud environments so the tube has not been very tempting..!) but it went okay with some Loop earplugs that I bought.

I know I haven't been around for a while, I have explained the reasons behind that in the GR a little while ago, that's not to say I haven't thought of you all, I have and do so most days. I was very anxious in the first few weeks about being left alone and that I was going to suffer another SAH. I became so depressed that I was referred to a councillor. He helped me to realise that this wasn't my fault and that I had nothing to feel guilty about. I've had to up my dose of nerve meds (the doctor prescribed me some Pregabalin) so I am just adjusting to a slightly higher dose of that, it really has numbed my unmanageable nerve pain I was experiencing. The pain is still clearly there but it's like the meds have wrapped cotton wool round my nerves. Still napping a lot and unable to even go for a short walk along the road without total exhaustion, am getting very bored! Am trying to really hydrate more than I normally do too as everyone is suggesting on this forum.
