As a general description from a reader of it, the system itself is relatively "rules light". The system only uses a few d6 dice, with the subtle twist that four custom faces are used. (Two of them appear twice/are assigned neighboring numbers when playing with a cheat sheet instead of the customized dice in the physical sets.) It's a possible reason to favor the physical box set over the PDFs if you would prefer playing with the custom face dice directly rather than a lookup process. It’s a workable enough system that can be made incredibly flexible with a bit of thought, though it does come with a couple of quirks. As players start rolling more dice things can get very swingy,generating either oodles of success or a tide of horrible failures in a single go, and failing to make much distinction between different characters. Mongoose Publishing reserves the right to alter or amend the specifications and/or prices of the products offered for sale, or withdraw them completely without prior notice. Mongoose Publishing is well-regarded in role-playing circles, having designed and released the likes of the Traveller and Paranoia series - and early word based on the eBook seems pretty positive over on the Sea of Thieves subreddit. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher. Hoarders can open treasure chests.
