About this deal

Step 1 – Ensure all your alarms have been installed and tested and you have inserted your Ei100MRF or Ei3000MRF modules into your 160e Series, Ei2110e alarms or Ei3000 Series. This step by step guide will show you how to replace and remove the existing alarm heads in a property. If you have an easi-fit base fitted, all you need to do is replace the alarm as there is no need to remove or re-wire the base. Once installation is complete House Code the alarms together into a system. If any alarm, hard-wired or wireless, is now triggered it will sound all the alarms in the system. The 160e Series and Multi-Sensor Fire Alarm use a RadioLINK Module,Ei100MRF,directly into the head of the alarm to gain RadioLINK+ capabilities instead of a base. If RadioLINK+ is used, ensure the alarms have been House Coded together correctly. They may have been connected to a nearby system. Reset and House Code again.

Add to quote” – this option allows to you gather items together and ask us for a no obligation quote. We’ll do our best to improve our already competitive prices where possible. Step 8 – The blue LEDs on all units will now stop flashing and the entire system will automatically ‘seal’. Eliminates the need for any cabling between the Ei428 and the smoke, heat and CO alarms used in the system.

There is likely to be Carbon Monoxide present. Turn off any gas appliances, open windows and doors and leave the property. If the alarm contains AudioLINK – Once the alarm has stopped activating and it is safe to enter the property extract a report to identify the details of the incident. Our goal is to provide one stop place for electricians and electrical contractors, but we are happy to help other clients too. The Ei168 RadioLINK Base transmits a Radio Frequency (RF) alarm signal when the unit attached to it senses fire. When it receives an RF alarm signal from another Ei168 Base, the attached smoke or heat alarm will sound. It therefore eliminates the need to run long interconnect wires between all the smoke alarms on different floors and in different rooms.

Step 7 – Once the correct number of flashes is present on every unit, insert a screwdriver into the House Code slot on the side of one of the alarms or bases until the blue LED comes on solidly, then release. The four-digit code shows you the year and week that the alarm was made. The first two digits relate to the year and the second two digits relate to the week.

Data Extraction Retrieve data from alarm systems in individual dwellings to securely monitor alarm events. If you are using an Alarm Controller Ei450 this will continue for as long as you hold down the ‘Test’ button. RF Visual Indicator: Amber light flashes continuously for 1.5 to 3.5 seconds while transmitting RF signal Turn the mains power to the alarms off in the property and ensure the green indicator light on the alarm is off.Step 4 – Remove the screwdriver and the blue LED will flash once every 5 seconds (approx.) to indicate that it is in House Code mode and is looking for other alarms. At installation details of the system can be collected, such as number of units, types of alarms, location of alarms, Radio Frequency signal strength between alarms, serial numbers of the device and how long the alarm has been in operation.
