Kill Team and Warcry get a hefty dose of articles in White Dwarf issue 480, making it a must-buy for fans of those games. In the Mortal Realms, meanwhile, a Flashpoint clash pulls focus onto the Orruk Warclans, Warhammer 40,000 gets a new narrative campaign set on an awakening Necron tomb world, and the first part of the battle for the Fate of Barbarus gets underway in a massive Horus Heresy battle report. Fight for the White City with Gandalf the White and Peregrin Took mounted and on foot , 24 Warriors of Minas Tirith , and six Knights of Minas Tirith . Bring ruin to your enemies with Gandalf’s magic, perform a devastating charge with the knights, and stab someone in the knee with Pippin. There are also two sets of Gondor Ruins for you to create your own Osgiliath battlefield. Can you hold this ancient city for the forces of Good, or will you claim it in the name of Sauron ? On the other hand, if you want to immolate infantry with death rays, obliterate tanks with high-powered las blasts, and overwhelm enemy forces with a barrage of massed autocannon fire then the Heavy Weapons Upgrade Set – Volkite Culverins, Lascannons, and Autocannons makes a fine addition to any Legion. Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Reference Cards This thundering box contains 32 plastic Citadel miniatures, with two versions of Éomer, Marshal of the Riddermark ( mounted and on foot) as well as 24 Warriors of Rohan and six mighty Riders of Rohan!

Orcs are the foulest creatures to walk Middle-earth. They are evil-hearted monsters that rejoice in slaughter and destruction, while Wargs are gigantic, evil wolves – dangerous creatures with a cunning intelligence. Isengard ™ Battlehost Following the heavy bolters and missile launchers set, you can now upgrade your Mark VI Space Marines with even more heavy weapon options. Heavy flamers are great for clearing swathes of enemy infantry, multi-meltas are perfect for destroying vehicles, and plasma cannons are ideal for taking out more heavily-armoured troops . Heavy Weapons Upgrade Set – Volkite Culverins, Lascannons, and AutocannonsThis set contains 32 plastic miniatures which come with all required bases. Miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted – we recommend Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. Start your mission to reclaim the One Ring for the Dark Lord with the Mordor Battlehost, led by the powerful Witch-king of Angmar, who’s supported by hordes of Orcs, and the fast and deadly Warg Riders. There’s never been a better time for a foray into the world of Middle-earth ™ Strategy Battle Game, with the loaded Lord of the Rings ™ Battle of Osgiliath boxed set on the horizon, alongside a range of four Battlehosts. So GW have basically given Middle Earth Strategy Battle Games Start Collecting boxes for four factions: Gondor, Mordor, Rohan and Isengard. These are all popular armies with plastic troops and cavalry, and new plastic character kits. GW have created boxes with a new, modern plastic character and two boxes worth of infantry or cavalry.

Join the forces of the Dark Lord with this incredible box. It features the Witch-king of Angmar mounted and on foot, 24 Mordor Orcs , and six Warg Riders . Overwhelm your enemies with the horde of Orcs while you harry them with the fast-moving Wargs. Isengard™ Battlehost Gondor has a lot of cheap heroes, and a number of elite infantry options (Citadel Guard, Guardians of the Fountain Court, Osgiliath Veterans where you are using Faramir or Boromir) which give you access to Fight 4, which you absolutely want to make sure you win fights against Orcs. These cheap heroes let you run some small warbands, or give nice abilities. Don’t hesitate to swap a standard captain for a named character (this is good advice for virtually every force). Finish off your Mark VI Space Marines in style with these Emperor’s Children heads. The upgrade kit comes with nine helmeted heads, a Sergeant’s helmet with a stylish topknot, and a bare head with a contemptuous grin.Join the ranks of the fallen Istari Saruman, one of the most powerful wizards in Middle-earth, who leads the Isengard Battlehost of Uruk-hai Scouts and Uruk-hai Warriors – followed by his faithful minion Gríma Wormtongue. The box also contains an updated rules manual, a booklet containing the game profiles for the miniatures and scenarios, dice, and a range ruler, giving you everything you need to start playing. During the Horus Heresy, the Space Marine Legions frequently fielded armoured spearheads made up of the ever-reliable Deimos Pattern Predator Battle Tank. Based on the light and nimble Deimos Pattern Rhino chassis, this versatile weapons platform can choose from a wide array of turret and sponson weapons, for anti-armour, anti-infantry, or a mix of both. Heavy Weapons Upgrade Set – Heavy Flamers, Multi-meltas, and Plasma Cannons If you like White Wizards but prefer to fight for the forces of Good, you can follow Gandalf the White into battle. He’s accompanied by Peregrin Took, and they lead the charge of Warriors of Minas Tirith and Knights of Minas Tirith as part of the 33 miniatures that make up this Battlehost. Rohan™ Battlehost Rules for fielding the Emperor’s Children in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy can be found in Liber Hereticus – Traitor Legiones Astartes Army Book .

Based on the classic Deimos Rhino STC, the Predator battle tank is versatile enough to handle anything the Age of Darkness can throw at it. Select from a predator cannon, graviton cannon, Gravis lascannon, or volkite macro-saker as your turret-mounted weapon and heavy bolters, heavy flamers, volkite culverins, or lascannons on your sponsons. With a raft of optional pintle-mounted weaponry on top, you’ll be able to take out any foes. Heavy Weapons Upgrade Set – Heavy Flamers, Multi-meltas, and Plasma Cannons Expand your Middle-earth ™ scenery collection with these classic pieces. It’s great for adding to the scenery in the Battle of Osgiliath boxed set to create a board for fighting even larger battles. Alternatively, you could create dioramas based on your favourite scenes from the movies. Rivendell™ Dice Set Isengard have a number of Legendary Legions that play well at 5/600 points, with Ugluk’s Scouts being a prime example. The Uruk Hai Scouts in the Battle Host can form a solid core for this. The Battlehost provides a very solid foundation. Saruman is a powerful wizard, you have Grima to attach to an enemy warband (ideally one on foot) and mess up their Might spending, and 20 Uruk Hai and 24 Uruk Hai scouts. The boxed set doesn’t naturally lead into a Legendary Legion, as there are no Legendary Legions with both armoured and scout Uruk Hai and none containing Saruman, but the army rules from the Armies of the Lord of the Rings book are fine in any case. Sally forth from the White City alongside Gandalf the White and Peregrin ‘Pippin’ Took as they command the forces of Minas Tirith. This epic box contains 33 plastic Citadel miniatures with two versions of Gandalf the White (mounted and on foot), Peregrin Took, 24 Warriors of Minas Tirith, and six Knights of Minas Tirith. Add the legendary Gorvos siblings to your outlaw gangs for Necromunda . By underhive standards, they’re both spoilt and entitled, with Vunder as the idiot brother armed with gold plated stub guns, and Gaen his brutal sister tossing around gunk bombs. You can find full rules for using them in games in The Book of Judgement . Durgan Kill-Fist, Outlaw Bounty Hunter Gandalf is an incredibly expensive hero in a 500 point game, but he brings a lot to the table. This is a cheap expansion again, as it is the Command blister again and it still leaves you with the Knight of the White Tower and Hornblower, which with the remaining infantry would take you over 700 points. Add more to your gaming experience with the Ruins of Middle-earth™ – a great addition to the Battle of Osgiliath boxed set or the perfect basis for a themed gaming table or diorama. Rivendell™ Dice Set

This set contains 32 plastic miniatures which come with all required bases. Miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Trained to wield a variety of weapons, from the humble sword or bow, to the deadly knight’s lance, these valiant fighters defend the White City against the legions of Mordor. Resolute Warriors support the tall and stern Knights who are the pride of Gondor’s armies. Mordor™ Battlehost Start your mission to reclaim The One Ring for the Dark Lord with the Mordor Battlehost, containing 32 miniatures. It’s led by the powerful Witch-king of Angmar , who’s supported by hordes of Orcs , and the fast and deadly Warg Riders . Isengard™ Battlehost The Isengard Battlehost is led by Saruman the White, also mounted and on foot, and features Gríma Wormtongue, and a Palantír on a plinth. A horde of 24 Uruk-hai Scouts, and 20 Uruk-hai Warriors defend their lord while he casts spells to turn the tide of battle. This product has been slightly delayed in the USA and Canada. Minas Tirith™ Battlehost An Underworlds warband is the perfect small-scale painting project, and Chris “Peachy” Peach knows which colours make Khorne worshippers pop the most – surprisingly, they aren’t all different shades of red.

This battlehost is one of the most easy to use. It slots into multiple armies and can be used from the Last Alliance era to the end of the War of the Ring. Mordor have one of the biggest model ranges in Lord of the Rings, and it naturally pairs with the new starter set to give you more than 700 points, needing only some characters to give a legal army.
