About this deal

view at 1000 yards, which is about average for a 10x binocular. We measured the close focus at 6.25 feet with only minimal collapse at the edges of I say 'hit the ground running' because from my initial research into them, the GPO Passion HD binoculars seem to have all the expertise, important features and components that you expect to find on just about any of the 'alpha' level binoculars from the more established premium European brands. Thus if you consider their lower price tag, they certainly do seem to offer both a viable and indeed good value alternative should you be in the market for a premium level instrument. As well as this,German Precision Optics have also ensured that phase correction coatings have been added to the prisms on the Passion HD series and thus eliminates the problem of the individual wavelengths stepping out of phase with each other as they pass through the prism. The result is once again an improved image resolution and contrast. The following chart presents a comparison between the parameters of the GPO, presented here, and the parameters of its rivals. As you can notice the field of view of the GPO is wider only than that of the Meopta, losing significantly to the Zeiss and the Nikon. The eye relief distance, amounting to 17 mm, remains quite typical for this class of equipment and similarly you should assess the minimum focusing distance. What’s interesting, the GPO is the biggest instrument in this group and it weighs a lot; only the Meopta is heavier. Technically, the new product doesn’t have any distinct selling points.

Many brands now offer lenses with at least one element that is made from ED (extra-low dispersion ) glass, but I am not sure just how many have two or more? usually disregard the edges anyway. But we’ve handled binoculars that are sharp right to the edge, and it is something we look at. If that’s a negative, To help me to be as consistent as possible, I have a number of benchmark binoculars which are used to compare and then rank the view against. For this review, I used my "alpha" level 10x42 benchmark and a mid-level 10x42 binocular for comparison: Components Used & Build Quality are out of the top drawer. From the magnesium chassis and aluminum eye-piece housings to the integrated diopter and focus wheel and not forgetting the high-grade optical components and coatings, the high level of components and the noticeable build quality is evident throughout the whole instrument. Softer rubbers can often move or slide about on the chassis if not glued on correctly, but there is absolutely no chance of that occurring here. For most people, passion fruit is perfectly safe to eat. However, some people with a latex allergy may react to passion fruit. This is called cross-reactivity. This is because there are some proteins in latex that are similar to those in passion fruit. People with a latex allergy should be careful when eating passion fruit until they know whether they also react to the fruit. Does passion fruit make you sleepy? The design looks great and I like the GPO logo on the front and instead of the customary soft case, this one is more solid in it's construction which provides far more protection to the instrument contained within. At 17mm, the GPO Passion 10x42 HD binocular has ample eye-relief, making these an ideal choice should you want or need to wear glasses whilst binning. As already mentioned, the fit and feel of these instruments is well above that indicated by their price.

Boyle, N. B., et al. (2017). The effects of magnesium supplementation on subjective anxiety and stress — A systematic review. These GPO Passion HD 10x42 binoculars are truly excellent and certainly up there with the very best in this and even the higher price ranges.

Binoculars Reviews

no chromatic aberration even on brightly lit objects viewed at the field edge, where normally this aberration is the greatest. Again, it’s not that people

In this case, the GPO Passion HD binoculars have two ED lens elements (two fluorite containing lenses which are "cemented" together) within each lens.viewed actually is. In use, you really only notice extremes of this property: if it’s really deep, or really shallow. The 10x42 Passion HD binocular As with some other top end instruments (like the Swarovski SLC 10x42 binoculars), the diopter adjuster on these GPO binoculars is integrated within the focus wheel.

so far has consisted of four pairs of binoculars with the following parameters: 8×32, 10×32, 8×42 and 10×42. These are models equipped with roof Schmidt-Pechan prisms, featuring quite wide fields of view; their optics is closed inside a lightweight, waterproof magnesium barrel. The producer claims that their transmission reaches 90%. In the following months that series is supposed to be enlarged by night 8×56 and 10×56 models with Abbe-Koenig prisms and a transmission of 92%. The price tags of Passion HD binoculars range from 380 Euros for the 8×32 to 450 Euros for the 10×42 model. The only slight negative comment I have is the rear face plate on the focus wheel is rather bland and made from plastic. I personally prefer those that are made from metal and have the brand or a design etched into it. But this is only my taste and in no way affects its function. Lesser quality products are only Fully Coated or Multi-Coated, and this makes a big difference to both the quality and brightness of the view. . At the other end of the instruments I noticed that the objective lenses are inset by 9mm/0.35in and may benefit from a ‘lens-hood’ effect, reducing any glare. The fact that these have a wide field of view and good minimum focus, means that I am doubly impressed by the fact that these GPO Passion HD binoculars are still able to deliver a full 17mm of eye-relief. Comparing them once again in a wide range of scenarios and light conditions, once again the colors and level of contrast in the image looked to me to be pretty much identical to my alpha benchmark 10x42. Unfortunately the chromatic aberration correction is a serious flaw of the GPO. The Swarovski Swarovision EL 8.5x42 and the 10x42, both being among my favourite pairs of binoculars, are as close to perfection as it is only possible and yet noticeable chromatic aberration on the edge of the field remains their only slip-up. The GPO Passion HD 10x42 fares even a tad worse than these two. While playing with the GPO I also had the Swarovision 8.5x42, the Zeiss Conquest HD 10x32, the Leica Ultravid BL 10x42 and the Trinovid BN 8x42 at my disposal. In the aberration category the GPO fared the worst of all of them. It reflects badly on the tested model. I would be more understanding if the Passion HD offered the widest field of view available on the market at the same time but, unfortunately, the tested binoculars are nowhere close to the Nikon Monarch HG or the Zeiss Conquest HD in that aspect. https://www.ars.usda.gov/pacific-west-area/hilo-hi/daniel-k-inouye-us-pacific-basin-agricultural-research-center/tropical-plant-genetic-resources-and-disease-research/docs/passion-fruit-collection/
