About this deal

I shoot handheld, and almost always with the available light. I use the F1.2 of the 56mm a lot during first dance and speeches for example.

All in all, I can say that street photography changed my style and passion for photography big time. Finally, I found a genre in photography that I can do everywhere at any time. The Fuji X-T3 with the 23mm F2 WR is a system I can rely on in any occasions: bright sunny days, cloudy days, rainy days and at night. The f2 shines the best when shooting from a distance, which allows photographers to get stunning street pics and dynamic travel images without needing to get too close. So you won’t have to explain to passers-by why you’re standing so close to them while trying to snap a picture of your new favourite coffee house.

And this is where the 1.4 trumps the F2 and the reason why I'll definitely continue to have the F1.4 lens in my kit bag. He photographs weddings across the UK, Europe and Destination Weddings overseas. He was the first officialFujifilm Ambassador for Wedding Photography. I am not a portrait photographer and really, creamy bokeh and a narrow depth of field are less important to me than to many photographers. The image quality is particularly good across the entire aperture range. Even at the widest aperture, corners are still useable. Stopped down a little bit, the entire frame is razor-sharp. The bokeh is very pleasing, also is only an open aperture of F2.0 on a crop body, the bokeh is very unobtrusive and smooth. The close-up limit of just 10cm is great, and the Fujifilm 23mm F2.0 WR can almost be used for macro work 😉 Fuji X-T20 . Fuji XF23mmF2 @23mm . f/8 . 1/340″ . ISO 200 – Faro Fuji X-T20 . Fuji XF23mmF2 @23mm . f/2.0 . 1/26000″ . ISO 200 – Faro The new focus ring, by the way, is sweet. It's wider than the 35mm F2 one which I found a little difficult to manoeuvre. The MF of the lens is basically perfect to me. The Fujifilm XF 23mm f2 is the second model in its compact, weather-sealed f2 series, following the XF 35mm f2; it was later joined by the XF 50mm f2. Like those models, it shares a simple, slightly tapered profile designed to present the least obstruction in the corner of the optical viewfinder on the X-Pro bodies – although of course all X-series owners can appreciate the compact and lightweight form factor.Center-sharpness is excellent between f/4 and f/11, and doesn’t drop off too much even at f/2 or f/22. Levels of sharpness also hold up very well out to the extreme edges and corners of the image frame. The lower price makes it an excellent travel lens for beginners since you’re not investing large amounts of money while deciding if photography is your hobby or career. It also makes for a splendid gift for avid travellersand travel bloggers. The f2 WR lens has 10 elements in 6 groups. It contains two aspherical elementsthat are part of the focusing group. Well actually, one of the things I found disconcerting at first with the XF35mm F2 was the sheer speed of the AF. And probably more relevant, the silence of it. The hood is made of metal, but it is a genuinely odd little accessory. It hardly stretches beyond the filter thread. There is, however, a better aftermarket lens hood available for this lens.
