Auto Extract Systems can help specify and design the right LEV system for your business's requirements. We only use the highest quality products and installations come complete with a 12-month installation warranty. Everyone is familiar with the stylised Ex within a hexagon. This symbol is given in the standards that support both ATEX and UKEX, so does not change. The single coding on a label (familiar from ATEX) applies equally to ATEX and UKEX equipment. All equipment that is certified for use in a flameproof zone is labelled with a code that defines its limitations to use as a complete UKEX, ATEX or EX rated fan product. The code effectively states the type of environment – above or below ground; the duration of the risk – frequent or accidental; the nature of the explosive atmosphere – gas or dust; the gas group – defined by ignitability; the temperature class – defined by spontaneous ignitability. If you're unsure about what you need, please get in touch, and one of our specialists will help you design a complete bespoke LEV solution to safeguard you and your employees. There is always a risk of accidents happening where there is a large variety of chemicals stored or where there are ongoing operations producing vapours and corrosive gases. Fume cupboards prevent potentially dangerous vapours being released into the classroom in two main ways; through ducting or through filtered, recirculated air. Ducted fume cupboards draw air through the sash opening over the working area and through ducting to the outside of the building, most often the roof. This method is widely used as it suitable for extracting more toxic vapours than recirculating filtered fume cupboards. The latter is more suited to experiments using much less hazardous substances. Additionally, school fume cupboards act as a physical barrier between reactions and the classroom or laboratory. This provides a degree of protection against inhalation exposure, chemical spills and fires.

Chemical resistant fume extraction fans are to be used in conjunction with several products, from our fume extraction, dust extraction or vehicle exhaust extraction range. At-source capture hoods will capture the contaminants in the LEV system and draw them towards the centrifugal fan, and depending on the working process will expel particulates via a filtration unit, or directly to the atmosphere via a high-velocity cowl, as per HSG258: Controlling Airborne Contaminants at Work: A Guide to Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV). The weather pedestal offers a more enclosed casing for outdoor installations, it totally covers the fan motor beyond the IP55 protection. The SEAT S35 models were applied to the extract hoods over the laboratory furnaces. Supplied complete they were delivered with weather pedestals, flexible connectors, anti-vibration mounts and flanges. We also supplied an S20 fan for use with a small specto-analyser. Fume Cupboard efficiency can be increased with the integration of EC polypropylene fans for maximum efficiency. Our EC range of corrosion resistant fans can reduce fan energy consumption by up to 20% without affecting performance. Due to the chemical composition of the substances used in schools and universities, the fume cupboard extract fans need to be able to handle the corrosive air without risk to the operation. Axair offers specifically designed polypropylene fans for this type of application as the material properties allow the fan to operate in the corrosive air stream. Learn more about reducing fan energy consumption in fume cupboards here. The required EU CE Marking is supported by ATEX documentation; UKCA marking is supported by UKEX documentation. The UKEX Certificate number and UKCA marking can be applied either additionally to the ATEX marking, or as an alternative. Most manufacturers seem to have elected to show both sets of marking at the same time. The relevant number of the Notified Body and Approved Body, responsible for supervision of manufacture, must be marked adjacent to the CE and UKCA marking. For components, where the CE and UKCA marking are not applied, both numbers should still be shown, if relevant. Our standard range of polypropylene centrifugal fans are suitable for hazardous environments where airflows of 2000m³/h to 17,000m³/h are required. ATEX rated non-sparking versions of our corrosive extract fans are required where there is the potential for explosion. Some common examples would be: Which can be pre-wired to the motor terminal to ensure first class electrical work in factory conditions and an isolator fan on the indoor or outdoor pedestal. Allows the user to control the speed of the fan motor to match the actual ventilation needs. Reducing the speed of a motor will reduce the amount of energy needed to power it, which in turn will reduce strain on the motor and any related components, reduce energy consumption and lower maintenance therefore lowers costs and finally it is easier to stop the system when needed. To be fitted at the lowest point of the fan scroll to allow water to run away. Thread size 3/8″ BSP, hose connection 12mm Ø. Fan housing predrilled and tapped to hose connector.

Fume Extraction Fans (Chemical Resistant) - Auto Extract Systems Fume Extraction Fans (Chemical Resistant) - Auto Extract Systems

A fume extraction fan is most effective when used in conjunction with other types of products and accessories. Whether you require additional components to go with a fan depends on several factors, including your operational tasks, environment size and installation location. The demand for more energy efficient systems in laboratories within schools, colleges and universities has seen an increase in designers and installers integrating EC polypropylene fans into new and existing fume cupboard systems. Our range of energy efficient corrosion resistant fans with IE5 B34 type EC motors reduce fan energy consumption by up to 20% without affecting the performance of the system and are available in single or three phase versions. Auto Extract Systems Ltd is the UK’s leading Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) company. Over the last 20 years, we've helped thousands of businesses create dust and fume free workplaces. Our plastic extract fans are are designed for applications where potentially corrosive chemicals and hazardous gases are present in the environment or in the air stream. ATEX rated non-sparking versions of our corrosive extract fans are required where there is the potential for explosion. Some common examples would be: The systems are fabricated in our Manchester-based factory by a highly skilled team of plastic fabricators and CNC machine operatives, and are individually engineered for optimum efficiency, reduced noise levels and energy conservation.ATEX Temperature Classes | ATEX Gas & Dust Zones | ATEX EEx Definitions | ATEX Hydrogen IIC Fans | Wind to Hydrogen Initiatives

Equipment and protective systems intended for us in potentially explosive atmospheres regulation 2016. Chemical resistant fans are corrosion resistant and can be specified as an ATEX fan, which is ideal for working environments where there are potentially explosive atmospheres. Plastic fans are designed to be run at ambient temperatures and can be situated either indoors or outdoor use.We can also pre-wire to electrical isolators to the motor terminal to ensure first class electrical work in factory conditions and an isolator fan on the pedestal.
