About this deal

If you were looking for a literary classic go to your nearest search engine and type 'top 100 books of all time' but if you were looking for a short, fun, and yes absurd fantastical erotica read this definitely could fill that bill. Look, I went into this knowing it was going to be 99 levels of crazy, and it was. It really, really was. I saw a friend on bookstagram reading this and needed something ridiculous as this in my life. And it delivered. Dinosaur erotica, who knew?

But - did I hate it? Absolutely not. Did it provide an escape from reality (as I'm typically trying to do when reading)? Wildly. Would I recommend this to other people? Very delicately, if I know their preferences.

This is my second Dinosaur Erotica book from Lola Faust. Like Dino Stud, it’s silly, it’s fun, and it takes itself exactly the right amount of seriously. I accessed this title in the Read Now section of NetGalley. I thank NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for an egalley. All opinions expressed are my own. I'm not much of an erotica reader. Do I enjoy a good romance? Hell yeah! Do I like it when my fantasy series has a little bit (or a lotta bit) of ~spice~? HELL yeah. But I still haven't really ventured into the world of erotica much. The first story of the Book is the name of the Collection; Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer and is written by Lola Faust. In my opinion this is also the best story in the book. A simple farm girl, living and working on the land where her family raise Dinosaurs, Tanis has always longed to be a dinosaur. The only issue I found with the story (other than the vast amounts of cringe I often find in erotic story telling) was the distinction between animals and sentient beings. I’m not sure the line was very well thought out, since animals are in fact sentient beings, but it doesn’t cause too much of an issue to the overall story. Of course, the entire thing is absurd, but it is fun.

WHAT DID I READ?!?! I thought it would be satirical, a funny book, not actual dinosaur p*rn! –Ary Henderson One of my friends recommended WET HOT ALLOSAURUS SUMMER to me-- I think because I reviewed all of those coronavirus erotica that were trending a few months ago. You read and review one freaky-deaky wtferotica and suddenly everyone thinks you want to read all the freaky-deaky wtferotica... and they are not wrong. At least not in my case. As soon as I was off work, it was on like dino-kong. My only complaint would be the MC being 17. It costs nothing to make the MC older. The story still works if she’s older.Note: The version of the book I received/read didn't contain any short stories, just the full "Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer" book and newly written conclusion.

I am not sure how I feel about telling other people that I have read this book. I am not sure I want to discuss it with anyone. Like, ever.

What ensues is the most mind-boggling series of erotica stories that I have ever encountered but like a car accident, I just couldn't look away. The writing isn't really that great but I found it entertaining and humorous. The copy I received via NetGalley had some typos/formatting issues hopefully these were corrected before the book was published.
