About this deal

These taps need to be permanently installed, and as such are are different from the hot water dispensers we've tested, which are much cheaper and simply need to be plugged in. Water dispensed into a room-temperature mug from a hot water dispenser is 91°C. We repeated the same scenario with a freshly boiled kettle and the temperature of the water was 96°C once it was poured into the mug. INSTANT HOT WATER: Instant hot water on tap all day at a fraction of the running costs and the wattage of a kettle The water tank can't be removed separately from the dispenser, like on a coffee machine, but the water tank and dispenser can be removed from the base of the appliance (like a kettle). This is a handy feature to have in case you change your mind halfway through dispensing, or you realise your mug is going to overflow.

All the hot water dispensers we tested have fixed water tanks and need to be filled in the same way that you would with a kettle – either at the tap, or by filling up the tank with a jug. Personally I pour the descaling product into the empty device, add the recommended amount of boiling water I leave this solution for the time stated, usually about 10 minutes and then add more water, up to the minimum mark and then dispense the water as normal. Otherwise the descaling solution is not strong enough to remove the limescale Discard the water in the cup. Repeat steps 11 and 12 until the water level is at the MIN mark again. KEEPS WARM ALL DAY: Thanks to the Insulated coated stainless steel casing your water will stay warm all day, it will automatically re heat water to keep it at a constant temperature.Fill your water dispenser to the MAX fill level and place an empty cup on the drip tray. Press the start button and wait for the water to be dispensed into the cup. A hot water dispenser can boil and dispense a single mugful of water at a time. But while some will consistently give you the right amount of water at the right temperature, others spit water everywhere and dispense a less predictable amount. Hot water dispensers give you a cupful of hot water at the push of a button, and are an alternative to using a kettle. These are a few of the features you should look out for when choosing the model for you. Easy-to-fill water tank

LARGE 3.5L CAPACITY- one of the largest hot water dispensers in the market. Suitable to make 12 cups without re-boiling. Also great to fill saucepans for cooking. LCD Display and Handle】 The operation of this water boiler and warmer is quite easy. There are multiple buttons at the top of the control panel and the clear LCD display allows you to use it with ease. And the handy handle makes carrying easier, so you can carry it to different places. The models rated in the table above were all tested in the Which? test lab in 2012, and have remained on sale since then. This table shows the results from our independent tests of hot water dispensers. We have now stopped testing them, but the models featured are still widely available. This is a safety feature that stops the hot water dispenser from working, and turns it off, if the water tank doesn’t contain enough water.

Depending on how often you use the hot water dispenser and the hardness of the water supply in your area, you have to descale your instant hot water dispenser regularly.

Cons: You can't change how much it dispenses, cancel button isn't very responsive, hard to empty the water tank Add a citric acid-based proprietary product to the hot water. Use the recommended amount and stir to dilute if in powder or tablet form. Some hot water dispensers can only dispense a fixed volume of water, so if you choose a model with this feature, then you need to make sure the amount of hot water will be enough to fill up your favourite mug. Stop/cancel button HOT WATER ON DEMAND - Instant hot water on tap all day at a fraction of the running cost of a kettle. Choose between 5 temperatures from 40-98 degrees. All of the hot water dispensers we tested come with a drip tray, similar to one you’d find on a coffee machine. This is where your cup sits while it’s being filled, and the drip tray will also catch any spills Boil dry protection Hi Katrina, thank you for your recommendation. It does seem like a long process having to run through an entire content of the tank through the boiler so your suggestion is a good one. Do vary the water level above and up to the maximum mark based on personal preference and hardness of water for best result. Open the lid and empty any remaining solution into the sink. Rinse your HotCup water dispenser several times by filling it with clean water and emptying it into the sink.
