I know they weren't supposed to be the most likeable but their resemblance to gossiping old biddies was too real! Long rumored to be getting a live-action remake, Atlantis: The Lost Empire is a bold sci-fi adventure set around the allegedly lost city of Atlantis. Critics praised the film‘s emotional and realistic dynamic between Lilo and her sister as well as a truer representation of how a child acts.

Mostly forgotten by Disney fans, this Disney animated classic received mixed reviews and a poor box office performance despite featuring the likes of Judi Dench and Cuba Gooding Jr. The song “Once Upon a Dream” is nearly as prevalent in Disney Parks as “When You Wish Upon a Star” and do we really even need to mention the castles.A very catchy film and the alley cats really make it the entertainment that it is but the geese were pointless. June teams up with her new friend, a mischievous boy named Hugo, to embark on a daring adventure to uncover the truth behind the strange world and save it from a dangerous threat.

Definitely one of Disney's darker projects although I'm grateful Jiminy Cricket wasn't killed by a mallet as he was in the original story! In my 20’s, I would collect the Disney Classics on Blu-ray – you can tell which number the film is because the number is on the spine of the blu-ray or it’s the really shiny O-Ring cover. Roy Disney originally objected to Fantasia being an animated Classics on video because he felt it was too important to the family's legacy.
