Now infuriated at his army being constantly bested by the Autobots, Megatron took the Nemesis to the Erta Ale volcano where he had his troops fight in a series of deathmatches to apply the principle of survival of the fittest. He forced Starscream to fight Fearstorm, and when Starscream won, seemed happy enough to let his lieutenant return to the ship. Megatron's Law After Bulkhead destroyed an energon store, Megatron had him captured and taken aboard the warship, where the Autobot was placed in the newly developed Ultra Prison. Megatron sneeringly informed Bulkhead that the prison would slowly wipe his mind, but it was Megatron who got the raw end of the deal when the Nemesis was badly damaged during the inevitable Autobot rescue. The Battle for Bulkhead

Many buyers attempted to remove the battle damage paint using isopropyl alcohol. The effectiveness of this treatment varies from figure to figure. The deluxe scale figures often had minimal drybrush-applied paint that cleaned off easily, while the voyager scaled figures, which had the battle damage paint printed onto them, were much more difficult to clean. Some figures, such as Soundwave and Springer, had battle damage paint applied directly over their deco paint, which meant ruining the deco in the effort to clean the battle damage. Elita-1, Chromia, Jetfire, Red Alert, and Scrapface. As well as everyone else caught in the explosion in the last episode of Earthrise. Optimus Prime finds Elita-1's corpse in the midst of the rubble upon returning to Cybertron in the Kingdom finale. Played straight with both Jetfire and Impactor, who have no problem engaging the Autobots in battle, but are shaken by the idea of mass genocide. A gold-chrome redeco of the original MP-5 mold, Megatron Gold Version is a Hasbro Asia release under the TakaraTomy label (making it the first TakaraTomy Masterpiece to not be released, thus far, in Japan). It comes with all the same accessories as the original release, including the mace. When Earth was properly inducted into the Council of Worlds, Scarlett remembered the devastation Megatron had brought to Earth and wondered whether or not Earth was out of its weight class against Cybertronians as well as if Earth was truly ready to join the Council. First Strike #1 While in jail on Cybertron, Scarlett confessed to Optimus Prime that she had primarily come to Cybertron to save Joe Colton from himself, something which Optimus sympathized with, having gone through similar experiences with Megatron. First Strike #4 When justifying his genocidal campaign to Scarlett, Joe Colton claimed Earth was "one more Megatron" away from complete extinction. First Strike #6

Reviews

Just as in both the Aligned Universe and Transformers: Cyberverse, the Autobots plan to launch the Allspark into space before the Decepticons could use it for evil.

Megatron also includes the second issue of IDW Publishing's Shattered Glass comic, with an exclusive cover featuring spot UV. Instead of having smaller, more energy efficient bodies, the Maximals and Predacons are the same size as the Autobots and Decepticons. Along their way to the Dark Energon, they found that a large portion of the station had been blasted clean off, the debris field traversable but sparse enough to allow easy viewing of Cybertron itself. Soundwave soon found records indicating that a small amount of Dark Energon lost containment and was the sole cause of the destruction, underscoring Megatron's desire for it. When Barricade asked how he expected to control it when no other had, Megatron said that such power was only for the strong, that he was the strongest, and not to question him again. Push the section with the front treads down towards the rear treads. Each tread has a tab on it that clips into a corresponding slot on Megatron's torso. Megatron and his Decepticons built an Energon Drain weapon, which would render them unstopable if left unopposed. Optimus Prime and his Autobots intervened, and destroyed the weapon. Transformers Prime: Pulsar Defense Transformers Prime: Decepticon StrikeThe Cavalry: Omega Supreme bursts from the ground and protects the Spacebridge long enough for the Allspark and the Ark to be sent through. Inside the Quintesson's kangaroo court, Optimus Prime was put on trial for public mayhem, treason, and galactic blasphemy. Optimus Prime's brainwashed troops corroborated the Quintesson prosector's line of inquiry. However, Megatron himself came to Optimus's defense, asserting that the Quintessons did not create the Transformers as they so claimed. The trial had also jogged Megatron's memories; he remembered fighting in the war that routed the aliens from Cybertron and vowed that he'd gladly do it again. The Quintesson judges found them innocent, and so sentenced the two leaders to banishment. Whoever killed the other leader in combat would be allowed to leave Aquatron unmolested. The two leaders battled, unaware that the Quintessons were harvesting the energy they exerted to power a space bridge to Cybertron. When the Quintessons had enough, they dumped both of them into a Pirahnacon pit. Optimus and Megatron managed to escape the Pirahnacons with the help of Optimus's Matrix, and escaped into the subterranean tunnels beneath Hydratron. Alright! What's the square root of pi?! What's the capital of Sierre Leone?! What's... awww, this 'ask questions later' thing doesn't work at all." According to the Transformers: Prime 26 Hour Takeover Marathon promos, his favorite song is the theme to My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Bumblebee mentions racing on the planet Velocitron, which appeared in Transformers: Cybertron, the 2005 IDW continuity, and Transformers: Cyberverse and Chromia mentions her home planet Caminus, which was also her homeworld in the 2005 IDW continuity and the aforementioned Transformers: Cyberverse.

When Metroplex was reactivated and sent on the warpath towards New Kaon led the defence, Shattered Glass II #4 only to be damaged. Unable to continue but needing to stop Magnus, Megatron telepathically imparted Flamewar's information onto Soundwave, sending the communications chief to take down Ultra Magnus. Megatron was subsequently escorted off the battlefield by Soundwave's Mini-Cassettes. Shattered Glass II #5Although battle-damaged paint is one of the distinguishing features of the Siege imprint, it seems that Hasbro's dedication to it is pretty tenuous. The Voyager Class toys are the only ones that seem to receive any significant amount, while Leaders hardly get any and Deluxes range from little to none. Though Megatron was nowhere to be seen, a statue of him was erected on the reborn Cybertron. Pilot (Part 1) After Cyclonus's Decepticon cell had taken over the High Council, they began making preparations for Megatron's return, either unaware of, or unwilling to believe, the former gladiator renouncing conquest. Freedom Fighters Defiant to the End: Ultra Magnus tells Megatron that he will never win the war against the Autobots before taking a point-blank fusion cannon blast. The Decepticons departed Earth aboard Astrotrain, where the gravely wounded Megatron was put on life support and tended to by Soundwave and his cassettes. With Megatron's life signs only at ten percent capacity, Starscream attempted to appeal to Soundwave's sense of logic and have him shut down so that leadership could be his, but Soundwave refused. Starscream was soon able to take command, however, when he recovered the Matrix of Leadership and professed to have been chosen by it. Uneasy Lies the Head New body, new powers When Starscream attempts to assert control of the Decepticons due to Megatron being injured, the latter tells him " I still function."

The new head sculpt is a bit taller and more smooth in detailing than Siege Megatron's. The "helmet" section especially is much more curved and the brow section above the eyes is much less prominent. Of the two head sculpts I prefer this one as it looks more like the G1 animation head design. When Jazz was interviewed by the human news, he remembered Megatron's invasion of Earth. What It's Really Like Sideswipe also remembered Megatron making a deal with Sunstreaker that preceded the invasion. The Life of Sideswipe Earthrise Megatron is a fairly significant reworking of Siege Megatron. At first glance I wouldn't blame you if you thought both figures were the same toy with some different accessories, but several parts are actually different: Five Pairs of Interchangeable Hands: Fists, Relaxed, Action, Holding D50-R35 Fusion Cannon, and Holding HPR Telescopic Laserstrike Launcher. Disappointed in You: Megatron calls Jetfire, one of his high-ranking officials, a disappointment for expressing his disgust in Megatron's genocide plan.Megatron was present when the Decepticons were hauling in an asteroid rich with Dark Energon heading toward Earth. When the Autobots came to stop them, he decided to take matters into his own hands by going toe-to-toe with Optimus again. After they exchanged some wedding vows and got to dancing, the asteroid exploded and interrupted their fight. Megatron managed to survive by flying away, witnessing his enemies fall to Earth. Swiftly, Megatron commanded Starscream to organize a scouting team to retrieve the fallen Autobots. My God, What Have I Done?: In Earthrise, Optimus admits that he was wrong for throwing the Allspark through the space bridge, which resulted in Cybertron slowly dying, and he resolves to find it and return it. Cliffhanger: Earthrise ends with Megatron stealing the Matrix of Leadership but the explosion of the mercenaries' ship cause both the Ark and the Nemesis to crash land on prehistoric Earth. On Cybertron, an attempt to blow up the Decepticons' base goes wrong and results in all the Autobots getting caught in the blast as well.
