If you are a fan of Pride and Prejudice*, Gothic vibes, some mystery, royals, fae and swoon worthy men, then you really need to read this!

There is a lot of Elle’s internal angst that isn’t very poignant and so comes across repetitive and dull. I enjoyed going on the journey with these two as they slowly started to tear down the barriers placed around their hearts.The key to her salvation might be her arrogant, cold husband—the one she'd planned to rob and abandon. Currently she lives in Ohio with her husband and fur babies, and surrounds herself with books and coffee on a regular basis.

It would be super interesting to be inside his head and to be able to read his actual thoughts when the story was unfolding.

Fitz at times came across a little too stoic but then again, he was modeled after Darcy so I guess it's appropriate.

I don't think there's going to be a direct sequel either, but hopefully we get to see more of Elle and Fitz in Schade's future books. Castle of Dusk and Shadows is not my normal fae fantasy read where all the "dark and dangerous" fae are actually.
