For more information on curved monitors, check out our Gaming Monitor Guide on the Overclockers UK Blog or speak to our friendly sales team. You won't lose much image accuracy if you mount the monitor slightly above eye level, but the colors start to wash out if you mount it too high. In displays, which have a native resolution (the TFT ones, for example), the pixel pitch depends on the resolution and the size of the screen. Fast-moving action and dramatic transitions will be rendered smoothly without the effects of ghosting. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work.

Unlike the AOC, the LG supports HDR, but this doesn't add much, as it can't display a wide color gamut and can't get very bright in HDR.With the decrease of the display size and the increase of its resolution, the pixel density increases. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. The Samsung has a much faster response time at its max refresh rate, it has a local dimming feature, it supports HDR, and its ergonomics are better. Forget graphical frills: this mode rewires the monitor in favor of raw response time, giving you the ultimate edge in a hair-trigger standoff.

At 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, the curved gaming display eliminates screen blur and transmits ultra-smooth imagery. With eye strain and fatigue absolutely minimized, feel free to enjoy those long, intense gaming sessions in comfort! A big AOC monitor may take up too much room and dominate your desk, whereas a smaller monitor may be a strain on your eyes. On the other hand, the AOC has a 144Hz refresh rate, a better contrast ratio, wider viewing angles, and much better out-of-the-box color accuracy. With only 1ms response time, a refresh rate of 240Hz and 300 nits luminance, the monitor provides a smooth and colourful experience. The operating altitude shows the maximum admissible altitude, at which the display will function flawlessly. AOC Flicker-Free Technology utilises a DC (Direct Current) backlight panel, reducing flickering light levels.

This is one of the highest contrast monitors we’ve tested, and our tweaks made the picture very rich and textural with no need for the dynamic contrast feature.

We understand this can sometimes be difficult with work commitments, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs. The lack of ports is another concern, but you will likely end up using the HDMI or DisplayPort inputs anyways. That means this AOC’s pixel density is 69 pixels per inch (ppi), compared to our preferred sweet spot of 109ppi.
