Adaptational Intelligence: While Elizabeth in the games is still a child, The Fourth Closet has her able to perform experiments with her father and even deceive the rest of the main cast into thinking that she's Charlie. Jessica does see through her facade, though. She also seems to be more mature than her game counterpart, and her dialogue is surprisingly philosophical. But something went wrong. One of Charlie's little friends was dragged away by the fox with a hook and things just went south from there. Seems there were more kids taken, or where they? At the end of the novel, it is revealed what was written on the real Charlotte Emily's tombstone. It read: Despite her sweetness and kind personality, Charlie is independent/self-sufficient, as she doesn't get captured by William; that may tell the reader she can fight for herself. As seen in the book, she is the one who "killed" William in the Spring Bonnie Suit (as it was thought). She also finds it hard to trust people.

The Smurfette Principle: Charlotte is the only known protagonist in the series to be female. While the Fazbear's Fright guard has not been named or shown, thus leaving them partially unable for their sex to be identified, their hyperventilation is distinctively male-sounding and all the guards might be the same guy. Charlie is one of the weakest, most lifeless protagonists I have ever read in a novel. She just cries all the time, has no personality at all, and is generally just a very weak, dull, and completely uninteresting person. I think I actually hate her a little because of how terrible and flaccid a character she is. The Twisted Ones Release Date, Price, and Plot Premise". www.thebitbag.com. Brian Churilla, the comic artist and writer of Hellboy and other comic series, revealed some of his tryout arts for the graphic novel, as tweeted on September 9, 2020. [2] His illustrations ended up being declined by Scholastic Inc., and Claudia Schröder was later chosen to do the art. Brian Churilla's art seems to be illustrated in an electrifying style. As they search for a way out, the four robots come to life and pursue them through the restaurant. William reveals that the robots are possessed by the vengeful ghosts of his victims and boasts that they will hunt down and kill any intruders. The group tries to hide in a party room, but all four robots corner them.Original Generation: Downplayed: the gang sees deactivated animatronics of things like a wolf and an ape, but they aren't expounded upon. The Silver Eyes | "Charlie always looked like she was about to smile, her brown eyes wide and sparkling, her thin mouth ready to curve up, even when she wanted to sob, the incongruity a mild betrayal." Don't miss the first-ever graphic novel for Five Nights at Freddy's, an adaptation of the #1 New York Times bestselling novel The Silver Eyes illustrated by fan-favorite game artist Claudia Schröder! Nice Girl: Assuming that Cassette Man is Henry and therefore his daughter Charlotte was the girl who possessed the Puppet, Cassette Man's farewell speech in Pizzeria Simulator's good ending indicates that she was a considerate young girl who loved trying to help whoever she could.

A classmate, Arty, seemed to have interest in Charlie, as he tries to be with Charlie by inviting her to do activities with him; as doing a chemistry project with her and by Charlie helping him understand topics in robotics class, however Charlie ignored him due to all the problems that were arising. He was in three of her four classes, including Dr. Treadwell's robotics class. Ship Tease: She has a lot with John. See her Dying Declaration of Love and her Ambiguous Situation at the end of the series. Cawthon, Scott (2017). Five Nights at Freddy's: The Freddy Files (1sted.). New York, New York: Scholastic Inc. p.60. ISBN 978-1-338-21441-3– via Internet Archive. The Silver Eyes | "She walked to her car and sat on the hood, the metal denting slightly under her weight." The friends flee the restaurant and fetch Police Officer Dunn, only to find that the restaurant's door has been chained up while they were gone. Police Chief Clay Burke - Carlton's father - does not believe their story, and assumes Carlton is playing a prank. Charlie later talks with John about her father; he closed the restaurant and committed suicide after Michael was murdered, leading many people in the town to suspect he was the killer.Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Done simultaneously to herself and Baby (Elizabeth) in a Taking You with Me moment.

She manages to confront Springtrap, demanding that he answer why he had taken him, why he had chosen Sammy instead of her. He replies that he did not take him, but her. Suddenly the building begins to collapse and Springtrap escapes. Without another option, all begin to look for the exit. Jessica • Astrid • Kara • Steve • Aiden • Billy • Sam • Luca • Grady • Caden Wykowski • Robbie Wilson • Mr. Renner • Abe • Tony • Gregory • Edwin Murray • Kai • Danny • Kane This is a book about a teenager named Charlie who is still traumatized from losing her father and a friend when she was a child and how returning to the town where all of it happened brings on worse things that she can’t imagine. This is such a blessing. Scott and Kira concentrate this entire book on Charlie and her emotions and actually make you care about her and get attached to her as a character. The first time we get a taste of the animatronics with their essence from the games is quite a ways in, but is done with perfect timing. Just a warning though if you’re expecting an experience from the games, because this isn’t a game it’s a book...made of paper...and it has its own way of dealing with characters.Petitte, Omri (August 25, 2014). "Five Nights at Freddy's review". PC Gamer . Retrieved February 28, 2023. Things are a little weird the first two times they go, and then Charlie, the main character ( whose father built all the animatronics and then killed himself when 5 kids go missing from his restaurant remembers something about the past that she didn't tell anyone. Dying Declaration of Love: She makes one to John after impaling Baby and herself, although he eventually finds out that she may not have truly died after all. Charlie holds a deep love for her father and misses him greatly. The two were very close when Charlie was young. The loss of her father added to the mental burden Charlie carried throughout her life. She thinks about him often. In The Twisted Ones, Charlie takes up a robotics class in hopes he may have passed some of his talent onto her.

I will give this book one bit of credit, and that it does have the foundations to be a great book, but it needed a lot more work before it was thrown into the ocean. That night, Charlie, Jessica, John, and Carlton return to the restaurant, accompanied by their friends Lamar, Marla, and her 11-year-old brother Jason. They discover the still-functioning control panel which makes the robots move, and Charlie finds a fourth robot - Foxy the Pirate Fox - which cuts her arm with its hook. The next morning, haunted by recent events, Charlie tells John that before moving to Hurricane her father owned another restaurant called Fredbear's Family Diner, which featured two performing robots, yellow versions of Freddy Fazbear and Bonnie the Bunny.Green-Eyed Monster: In The Fourth Closet, William is more fixated on Charlie, believing her to be the perfect daughter he wanted. Elizabeth hates and is jealous of Charlie as a result, since she was never perfect in her father's eyes. It’s a decent novel. It avoids the pitfalls of a transition. The story stands on its own and it’s written in a way that’s accessible for newcomers. It’s meant to be a stand-alone horror story and doesn’t have fanservice. The themes of the franchise dominate it – childhood and growing up – instead of the stereotypical jumpscares. The novel reads too much like a first-timer. Cawthon needed help from someone more professional. Still, it’s good to see him stretching himself. So far, he’s pushing the franchise in new direction. If it fails, at least it’s not because of a re-hash.
